2 Adjudicators
2.1 WDSF World Open
A minimum of 9 adjudicators from at least 8 WDSF member countries
nominated by the organizer and confirmed by WDSF. The number of
adjudicators can be moved to 11 adjudicators from at least 9 WDSF
member countries, to 13 adjudicators from at least 11 WDSF member
countries.
2.2 WDSF International Open

member countries, to 11 adjudicators from at least 8 WDSF member
countries or to 13 adjudicators from at least 10 WDSF member
countries.
2.3 WDSF Open

member countries, 9 adjudicators from at least 6 WDSF member
countries, 11 adjudicators from at least 7 WDSF member countries or
13 adjudicators from at least 8 WDSF member countries.
3 Chairman
3.1 WDSF World Open
Nominated by the organizer and confirmed by WDSF.

3.3 WDSF Open

3.4 Duties
The chairman is responsible for the observance of the WDSF-Rules
and the Management of WDSF World Ranking Tournaments. He has
to report about the competitions to the WDSF Sports Director
following the guidelines of the WDSF Operating Policy Duties and
Obligations of WDSF Chairmen and WDSF Operating Policy Chairman
Report Checklist.
4 Number and nationalities of couples

4.1 WDSF World Open
At least 48 couples from 10 WDSF member bodies.
If the minimum requirements of number and nationalities of couples
for WDSF World Open Competitions are not fulfilled during one
Competition Year, the WDSF Member Body cant apply for WDSF
World Open Competitions for a period of 3 years. Already granted
World Open Competitions are downgraded to WDSF International
Open Competitions.
WDSF Member Bodies can apply for a maximum of 2 WDSF World
Open per year and discipline, with the following conditions:
1.
Having
organized 4 WDSF International Open per year and discipline.
The WDSF Sports Commission can give exemptions to these
conditions.
2.
Provide the
st
nd
finalists with at least EUR 3300 (1 800, 2 700, 3rd 600, 4th
500, 5th 400, 6th 300, if more than 6 couples are in the final due
a tie those couples get EUR 300 each)

At least of 36 couples from 8 WDSF member bodies.
If the minimum requirements of number and nationalities of couples
for WDSF International Open events are not fulfilled during one
Competition Year, the WDSF Member Body is only allowed to organize
2 WDSF International Open for the next year.
4.3 WDSF Open

At least 24 couples from 4 WDSF member bodies.
4.4 Reduction
If the minimum requirements are not fulfilled there is a reduction of
ranking points.
5 WDSF World Ranking Points

WDSF World Ranking Points are given to the participating couples in
the following WDSF Competitions as follows:
5.1 WDSF Grand Slam

Ranking points to all couples according to the WDSF Ranking Points
schedule.
5.2 WDSF World Open

6 WDSF Ranking Points Schedule

The points in the schedule for WDSF Grand Slam, WDSF World Open,
WDSF International Open and WDSF Open are basis points. The
points get an addition or reduction according enclosed list. The
calculation will be made by the WDSF Sports Director.
Conditions for an addition or reduction of the basis points:
Less than 12 couples participating in the competition
-20 %
Less than 24 couples participating in the competition
-10 %
36 to 47 couples participating in the competition

+40 %
288 and more couples participating in the competition

Couples from 10 to 12 different WDSF members

7 Applications for WDSF World Ranking

Tournaments
Applications for WDSF World Ranking Tournaments must be
submitted to the WDSF Sports Director 6 month in advance.
8 Number of Competitions for the WDSF World

Ranking List (WRL)
The rank of a couple in the WRL is determined by the sum of the 6
best WDSF World Ranking Tournament results during the past 12
month. For couples in the Youth age group it is the sum of the 4 best
WDSF World Ranking Tournament results during the past 12 month.
The basis to give exemptions (star rule) in WDSF World Ranking
Tournaments is always the status of the WRL from the first day of the
month before the competition.
9 Exceptions
For competitions outside of Europe the WDSF can make special
exceptions from these regulations.
