Chlorine Surge Protection

Chlorine damage is a common reason for low

performing membranes and premature membrane
replacement.
A new Best Practice approach to prevent chlorine
from damaging RO membranes is to employ 3D
TRASAR Membrane Technology with its built-in
Chlorine Surge Protection (CSP).
3DTfM with Chlorine Surge Protection uses a
fixed SBS dosage rate with an override feature
that will increase SBS dosage only after a
prescribed ORP high limit is detected.
This strategy delivers the needed amount of SBS
to quickly arrest chlorine excursions as shown in
the figure.
