9/11 Conspiracy Theories
September 11, 2001, or more commonly referred to as 9/11, was a day that has
frightened, concerned and revolutionize people around the world. The impacts the 9/11 attacks
had not only caused the United States of America great grief and strengthen its solidarity as a
nation but also the unity of the entire world to fight against terrorism. Despite the fact the United
States of America has international tension with countries around the globe, people within those
countries were able to set aside their differences to show the profound impact it had on the world
as they expressed that We are all Americans today (Edwards). The horrific attacks that happen
on 9/11 is arguably one of the most significant dates in the 21st century and the United States of
Americas history. The United States of America, ran by the Bush administration, responded to
the attacks of 9/11 by declaring its upmost effort to eradicate terrorism by sending their military
forces to the countries Al Qaeda is involved in. This decision was controversial as many innocent
lives were adversely affected but also popular as the act of terrorism becomes of a lesser concern.
With the resources the United States of America had, they won the war and as compensation
became very profitable from the natural resources obtained from the middle eastern countries.
However, is there a possibility with the situation the United States of America was in that they
wanted to go to the middle eastern countries before 9/11? Is it possible for the 9/11 attacks to be
an inside job by the Bush administration to give the United States of America a reason to invade

and seize middle eastern countries to not look as the aggressors but as the victims? To what
extent are mass media reliable sources for civilians around the world to find the truth of the 9/11
attacks? The lack of report and ignorance of evidence supporting conspiracy theories and the
possibility of media manipulation by the American government is a concern civilians should
consider. 9/11 conspiracy theories are true and the truth needs to be exposed.
Al Qaeda is a global islamist organization that consists of extreme jihadist. The notorious
terrorist Osama Bin Ladin is one of the leaders and founders of Al Qaeda before he was taken
down in 2011. The summary of the information of the events of 9/11 provided below is
according to a reliable and credible source history.com. Members of Al Qaeda hijacked a total of
four planes on September 11, 2001. All four planes was suppose to leave at roughly 8:00 am.
Unfortunately, three planes was able to successfully collide with its targets; one colliding with
North Tower of the World Trade Center, another colliding with South Tower of the World Trade
Center and finally, another one colliding with Pentagon in Washington, D.C.. However,
fortunately, the fourth plane was unsuccessful at colliding with the White House as the
passengers on the plane were able to fight the hijackers and landed the plane into the
Pennsylvania field. Almost 3000 people died from the 9/11 attacks including passengers of all
the three planes and hundreds inside the North Tower and South Tower of the World Trade
Center and Pentagon. It is reported that George Bush first heard of the attacks when he was
visiting an elementary school and later on media stated that it was a terrorist attack by Al Qaeda.
Hours within his appearance on mass media around the world regarding the 9/11 attacks, the
North Tower and South Tower of the World Trade Center collapsed. Then, at 8:30 pm, George
Bush declares its upmost effort to serve justice and punish whoever responsible and fighting

against the act of terrorism. The attacks of 9/11 had detrimental impact on the relationship
between the United States of America and middle eastern countries as the Bush administrations
action was very unfavorable in the perspective of the countries that was raided by American
troops.
The immediate actions after the 9/11 attacks was President George Bush going on live
media and addressing his thought and plan to eradicate future events similar to 9/11 from
occurring again, George Bush stated in his speech America and our friends and allies join with
all those who want peace and security in the world and we stand together to win the war against
terrorism (CNN). He also previously stated in his speech The search is underway for those
who are behind these evil acts. Ive directed the full resources for our intelligence and law
enforcement communities to find those responsible and bring them to justice. We will make no
distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them
implying that he is more than willing to go to war if necessary. President George Bush declared
for war and the United States of America, with the resources they were able to facilitate its
troops, were expected to win and they did. As a result of the United States of America winning
the war, they were able to receive natural resources as compensation by middle eastern countries.
The United States of America not only became very profitable from the war but also gained
positive international reputation as they were able to mitigate the act of terrorism.
Conspiracy theory by definition is a theory that explains an event or situation as the result
of a secret plan by usually powerful people or groups (Merriam-Webster). These powerful people
of groups in this case is the United States of Americas government, the Bush administration, and
the event as the result of a secret plan is the 9/11 attacks. The United States of America were

heavily in debt, one of the many reasons is its extensive spending on the military. The United
States of America is renown to have the biggest military in the world and they knew they were
able to take over any country they were willing to. Knowing that these middle eastern countries
have the natural resources that they have, could there be a possibility that the United States of
America is finding themselves a good enough reason to invade the countries with these
resources? What evidence are there that suggests the possibility of these conspiracy theories to
be true? Or is it possible that these occurrences are simply coincidences that allowed the United
States of America obtain an abundant of natural resources from middle eastern countries.
There are three major evidence that people, especially conspiracy theorists, look into
when discussing the possibility of the 9/11 attacks being an inside job (Thomas). The first
evidence is the physics of the two twin towers, North Tower and South Tower, of the World
Trade Center in New York to burn down into rumble neatly like melted better within hours of the
plane collision. The second is the vaguely explained and ignored collapse of the 47 story Seven
World Trade center as it was not hit or appeared to be damage by any of the plane collisions.
Finally, the third is the questionable and lackluster attempt the United States of Americas
Government, run by the Bush administration, made, with the resources that they had, to prevent
the plane from crashing into any of the two towers and the Pentagon. However, it is very
important to keep in mind that these are not the only major ideologies regarding to the
conspiracy theories of 9/11 and there are significant minor ideologies that should be taken under
consideration as well. These include missing multiple witnesses of workers in both towers of the
World Trade Center to have sporadic and unexplained drills prior to the event to be missing or
silenced, witnesses of normal civilians, police and fire fighters of bombs exploding in the

basement to be missing or silenced, the coincidence that the President George Bush is away from
the white house reading to kindergarden children and reports that the building was fully insured
only a few weeks before the 9/11 attacks. Is it possible that these are all coincidence or is there a
something the United States of Americas government and mass media trying to hide from it
people.
The first evidence in support of the conspiracy theories being true is the physics not
adding up of the two twin towers, North Tower and South Tower, of the World Trade Center in
New York. Due to the rapid collapse of the two towers, fifteen to twenty seconds to be exact, it is
very unlikely that the two towers collapsed from the fires that were started from the jet fuel from
the plane collision and instead was due to explosives planted in the building (Thomas).
Furthermore, Thomas also discusses the calculations made my professors and experts that are not
consistent to the towers collapsing if it was mainly due to the plane collision. The evidence of the
use of explosives that caused the collapse of the towers of the World Trade Center is the evident
from nano thermite and military grade explosives that were discovered in the area of the World
Trade Center after the 9/11 attacks (Thomas). According to Richard Gage (Thomas), this would
also explain the ejection of debris hundreds of feet from the towers. A range of witnesses
including employees of the World Trade Center, firefighters and police have said that they
witness explosives go off with their very own eyes (WeAreChange). Moreover, employees in the
building mentioned unexplainable and more frequent random fire evacuation drills that may have
been used as an opportunity for the explosives to be planted throughout the building. However,
there have also been studies made and published by Popular Mechanics that proves otherwise.
Even though jet fuel burns at 800 to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit and the melting point of steel is

2750 degrees Fahrenheit, it is argued that the structured is significantly weaker and the stress led
to the collapse of the buildings. Furthermore, the puffs of dust that could potentially be from
explosives was argued to be floors of the twin towers toppling with one another. In addition,
witnesses who thought saw explosives in the basement could be due to the seismic waves
delivered from the elevator shaft that was hit by the plane causing extensive damage in areas in
the building that seem initially impossible.
The second evidence is the vaguely explained and ignored collapse of the 47 story Seven
World Trade center as it was not hit or appeared to be damage by any of the plane collisions.
Tower 7 of the World Trade Center collapsed in 2.25 seconds (Thomas). In addition to the
mysterious collapse, it is reported to look like a controlled demolition. The reported cause of the
collapse was the uncontrolled fires. However, the fire in Tower 7 were not reported to be bigger
than any of the surrounding buildings and it is important to not that fire has never destroyed a
steel building (911REICHSTAG). So what could possibly be the reason for the collapse of Tower
7 if it was not because of controlled demolition?
Finally, the third evidence is the questionable and lackluster attempt the United States of
Americas Government, run by the Bush administration, made, with the resources that they had,
to prevent the plane from crashing into any of the two towers and the Pentagon. One question
that is continually asked is the reason the planes were not intercepted by military planes.
According to Ryan, not even one of the four planes were intercepted because of the lack of
effective communication and failures of people doing their jobs. By the time the military was
informed by the United States of Americas government, it was too late as the planes already
collided with the intended targets. There have also been other reports that the planes were

ordered to stand down. This could be an indication that the American government indeed wanted
the planes to collide. However, it is reported by popular mechanics that the hijackers were able to
successfully remove signals from the plane by turning of the planes transponders. Another
occurrence supporting 9/11 conspiracy theories is a missile hitting the pentagon instead of a
plane. Dunning mentions five minor argument but three that raises the greatest concern which are
a security video of a missile hitting the pentagon, no debris from an airplane at the site, the
approach path was unlikely for a 757 and the pentagons missile defenses would have shot down
an actual encroaching aircraft. However, Dunning counters this claims by stating that the video
evidences was not clear enough for it to be determined to be a missile, debris disintegrated into
smaller pieces and scattered everywhere, unlikely does not mean impossible and despite the fact
that the Pentagon is renown for its advancement of defense, it does not have a missile defense
system.
Another important consideration that has to be made is Popular Mechanics identifying that the
big plane were making smaller holes than expected upon collision with the pentagon. However,
an expert was able to debunk this and simply said that it was the shadow and lighting of the
picture.
In conclusion, even though my research essay provides a holistic approach to reporting
the 9/11 attacks, it should be clear that there are occurrences that are very questionable for it to
happen without the manipulation of the United States of Americas government.

There are

obviously evidence presented throughout the essay that were not reported in mass media and
should be a great concern as to why it was not available for the general audience.Whilst there are
counter claims for each evidence substantiating conspiracy theories, how reliable are

theseexperts with their calculations? One persons fact may be another persons fiction but
ignoring the evidence of the conspiracy theories is a foolish and irresponsible thing to do. It will
only be a matter of time until the truth of the 9/11 attacks to be exposed.
