2. Supporting paragraphs: Check to make sure the content of the paper supports the thesis and that
additional evidence or content is not needed to support it. Indicate one paragraph in which the writers
evidence is strong, and state the reasons why you think so. Then find one paragraph that needs more
evidence. Drawing from your own experiences or understanding of the type of assignment the author is
discussing, suggest evidence that might work to better illustrate or develop the main idea or subclaims.
I started the semester strong and ready, but I also felt that I needed to improve in all aspect.
This semester has been a very busy and important semester. Technical communication became one of
my very educative classes in all aspect of writing. At the beginning of the class things started of slow,
but picked up at a quick pace. My writing towards this class was not as confident as it was in the
beginning of the class, but as time took it, my writing developed. It thought me different ideas in
planning and writing for the future, which involved different aspect of writing. I grew as a writer and
also as a thinker. It made me expand my knowledge of thinking in a very broad manner.
In this paragraph, you talked about how this class personally helped you grow as a writer.
Technical writing has improved me in all aspect. Today, I understand the idea and format
behind every project assigned to me. It has developed my own thinking and approach towards it. I
struggled at first in writing, but eventually picked up a lot just from doing the homework assigned and
by listening to the teacher. It built up my writing vividly.
This paragraph was a little vague and kind of restated what was said in the paragraph above.
