Product properties
Appearance
Hazy, light yellow liquid
Example of use
Laundry Detergents, Liquid Hand Dish Detergents, I&I Cleaners: Glucopon 625 UP is well suited for laundry
applications, where micellar solubilization, emulsification and detergency are required. These alkyl
polyglucoside surfactants function as conventional non-ionic surfactants, but are easy to formulate because
they do not exhibit a gel phase upon dilution. Glucopon 625 UP is soluble and stable in liquid formulations
containing high levels of builders and electrolytes. Also, these alkyl polyglycoside surfactants are compatible,
and in some cases synergistic, with enzymes, optical brightners, and other surfactants, including cationics.
Liquid Hand Dish Detergents: In products such as liquid hand dish detergent, where high foaming and good
detergency are required, Glucopon 625 UP provides excellent performance coupled with outstanding mildness
to skin.
Industrial and Institutional (I&I) Cleaners:

Glucopon alkyl polyglycoside surfactants are ideally suited for use in a variety of I&I liquid cleaning systems,
especially laundry and hard surface applications. Caustic stability, builder compatibility, detergency and
hydrotrope properties combine to offer the formulator greater flexibility and better cost performance.
Detergent Powders: Glucopon surfactants modify the rheological properties of many particulate slurry
systems, such as spray-dried detergent mixtures, and allow higher solids levels to be realized with lower
viscosity profiles.

Storage and transportation

Maximum Storage Temperature

110F

When heating, avoid progonged localized temperatures exceeding 110F to avoid possible product
discoloration. Use tempered water when possible. Low pressure steam is acceptable if the product is
monitored regularly.
Carbon steel should not be used to store or handle Glucopon products due to probable contamination by iron.
Recomended alloys include 304SS and CF8M, the cast equivalent of 316SS often used to make screw fittings.

Alloys of higher nickel, chrome and molybdenum content are also acceptable. Contact Cognis Corporation for
more details on acceptable materials of construction.
Glucopon 625 UP is self-preserved at an elevated pH level (11.5-12.5) Due to this elevated pH, Glucopon
625 UP is hazy in appearance.
