Utd should blame

the cry of
David Moyes right now
assuming he was in the Ugandan
setting. The continued poor run of
results ensured that he was always a
dead man walking! However, to me,
Moyes deserves little or no blame for
the woes in Manchester United but
rather Sir Alex Ferguson.
Midfield problems
From the time Roy Keane left ManU, no
outstanding midfielder has been signed
as a replacement. United has since then
relied on players like Anderson, Michael
Carrick, Owen Hargreaves, Darren Fletcher,
all who have proved to be average. This has
meant that the midfield of United has been
on a decline all this time and it was just a
question of time before it would crumble.
Of course it is clear that Uniteds Carrick
and Tom Cleverly are very comparable to
Swanseas Nathan Dyer and Michu respectively but you cannot compare ManUs
midfield to Manchester Citys midfield of
Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri and David Silva,
or Arsenals Mesut Ozil and previously
Alex Song and Cesc Fabregas, or Chelseas
Frank Lampard and Eden Hazard. This
was merely a time bomb.
Using old players
During his final years at United, SAF was
popular for signing pensioners like Henrik
Larson, Van Der Saar, Michael Owen, Paul
Scholes (yes, he signed him again at 37) in
addition to extending contracts of his loyal
pensioners. Granted; these players may
have proved to be great value for money
but it is this short-sightedness which is
now haunting the club. Where is the
continuity?
The SAF brand
It is no doubt that for the past two or three
trophies which United won, they did it in
a very unconvincing manner. Ferguson,
the brand knew how to thrive on his rivals
weaknesses and manipulate match officials
ensuring that all the 50/50 decisions went
his way. There was no way Howard Webb
would have denied United that penalty
against Tottenham had it been Ferguson on

QUOTE OF THE
WEEK

It is not easy to play against

a team with 10 defenders but I
spoke to the players and told
them to continue the way they
were going because I thought
we were doing very well. When
you start a game as a huge favourite and you know the other
team is going to come and
defend for their lives, its easy
to become impatient. I think we
dealt terrifically with the pressure.

GOSSIP...

Fergusons book brought out the treachery and greed of the Scot
that touchline. It is
for this reason that
a certain United fan
tweeted requesting for the club to
renew the contract
of Webb!

book
The book My
Autobiography released by Ferguson was
preaching nothing but self-pride and
hate. This book clearly brought out the
treachery, greed and self-centred nature
of this Scot.
Finally, having ensured that he had successfully executed his mission of ensuring
that United would undergo a depression
once he leaves and also making sure that
his successor would find it very difficult
to cope, he installs his fellow countryman
who clearly was not the best candidate for
the job and sends out a strong message

to the fans and to management; your

job now is to stand by our new manager
(and continue suffering and wishing for
my return)! This 72-year-old Alexander
Chapman Ferguson may have immensely
contributed to the success of United but
he has also grossly destroyed the future of
this glorious club to a ponographic extent!
Is not this what dictators are popular for?
Ryan Giggs
Now, how did Ryan Giggs accept to take
over that hot seat? Doesnt he know it is a
huge risk to his stellar evergreen career at
Manchester United? Compare him to how
Liverpools legend Kenny Dalglish nearly
destroyed his legacy at Anfield when he
became manager and was shown the axe
exactly one year later for poor run of results? I wouldnt have advised him to take
it up even on an interim basis!

Bendtners fashion sense
is almost as outlandish as
some of the comments
the Arsenal striker has
made in the past. The
Gunners frontman, who

showed off a garish pair

evening. The Bad boys

earlier post to the attackers Instagram account
suggested the Denmark
international was back in
his hometown of Copenhagen. The 26-year-old
shared a photo from inside

with Brondby. Having
had spells on loan at
Birmingham, Sunderland
and Juventus in the past,
Bendtners nine-year spell
with Arsenal will finally
come to an end when his
current deal runs out this
summer.
rManchester United have
banned two fans from
going to away games indefinitely - one of them for
as little as having a single
can of lager found in his
bag on the way in to a
game. Jamie Bazley was
stopped on the way in to
St James Park earlier this
month and given a police
caution, simply because
he had an unopened can
of Stella Artois in his bag.
