Battle of the Bulge Week 3 Challenge Submissions

When winter weather comes around many of us find excuses to put

off exercise and stay indoors. If you plan ahead for the weather and
dress appropriately youll be able to kick those excuses to the curb
and enjoy the outdoors no matter what the weather is like! This week take your physical activity
outside and submit a picture of your favorite winter scene e.g. pretty lights, children playing,
picturesque landscapes, icicles, etc.

Race for the Lights 5K ~Jane Boettcher, Neenah

-Im an avid Walker (12-15 miles per week in Winter & more in Summer).
-I live across the street from the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park
in central NJ.
-Its a very peaceful place to simply take a seat and relax. In addition,
the Towpath (across from canal in pic) is very popular for Runners, Walkers
& Bikers alike.
-The Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park is one of central New Jerseys most popular
recreational corridors for canoeing, jogging, hiking, bicycling, fishing and horseback riding. The
canal and towpath are part of the National Recreational Trail System. The 70-mile linear park is
a valuable wildlife corridor connecting fields and forests.
-I snapped this pic on a frigid December morn (today!).
