Shanda and Robin were born in the

daughters of Charles and Betty
Delaney, missionaries to Zambia. Both
graduated from Johnson Bible
College, Shanda with a Bible and
Christian Education degree and Robin
with a Bible and Elementary Education
degree. Two summers were spent in
Zambia as interns working with the
churches and youth groups, singing,
and doing secretarial work. They have
also been involved in Vacation Bible

Schools, mission presentations, and a


Faith Promise Rally here In the States.
Both have a deep interest in missions
and feel the Lord's leading to work
with the youth in Harare.

Delaneys to Zimbabwe
November 1, 1984 is the date second-

generation missionaries. Shanda and Robin


Delaney. have set for their return to Africa,
Instead of joining their parents in Zambia,
however, they plan to work with Jack and
Peggy Pennington in an English-speaking
work in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Of their plans. Shanda and Robin say,


"Our goals are to establish strong youth
groups and Sunday School programs, and

to train the people to be leaders and youth


sponsors. Please pray for us as we work with
these young people. They are the future

leaders of Zimbabwe and the key to a new


generation of Christians".
Shanda was born April 3, 1962 in Cincin
nati. Ohio to Charles and Betty Delaney. She
spent her high school years in the interna
tional School of Lusaka. Zambia then gradu

ated from Johnson Bible College with a B.A.


degree in Christian Education on May 6.
1983. During the summers of 1981 and 1982
she and Robin served as interns in Zambia.

Robin was born June 28. 1963 in Bedford.

Indiana. Her first three years of high school


were

also

at

I.S.

in

Lusaka,

but

she

graduated from Daniel Boone High School


in Johnson City, Tennessee. On May 4,1984
she received her B.A. degree in Bible and
Primary Education from JBC.
These girls come highly recommended for
the task by Earnest A. Barnes. Jr., D.M.D.. an
elder of Gardenside Christian Church in

Lexington, Kentucky: Vernon L. Oakley,


preacher and former missionary; and Dr.
David L. Eubanks, president of JBC.
Funds are still needed: $500 monthly
