in Medical Anthropology and having 9 years of working experience in the field of
public health research, I have acquired sound knowledge on research methodology, qualitative and quantitative tool development, analyzing data by using SPSS, STATA, CS-Pro and Atlas ti, health promotion and communication, health policy analysis and economic evaluation. During my Ph.D. and early career jobs, I had done frequent field visits to tribal and rural areas, which had given me opportunity to learn about different cultures, their views and the challenges they face on their daily life. Throughout my academic and working career, I had participated in various national and international conferences, seminars and workshops. At present, I am working with IMS Health Consulting Pvt. Ltd. as an External Consultant, and supporting the agency on their public health projects. Here I am responsible for conducting primary and secondary research, analyzing data and preparing reports, writing SOPs and searching for the business development opportunities. Prior to my current job, I worked for The New Delhi Birth Cohort as a Research Officer for 6 years. While working with this agency I have gained immense experience of Non Communicable Disease exploratory researches. During my tenure with this agency, and had successfully completed eight research projects funded by national and international agencies like Wellcome Trust, BMGF, British Heart Foundation ICMR and DBT. My prime responsibilities in the organization were to coordinate the research projects of the agencies. I make sure that the research studies are moving in right direction with agreed pace to achieve the aims and objectives of the studies. I was also involved in preparing qualitative and quantitative tools for the studies, data base management, doing basic analysis for midterm research articles, operational research, team leading, mentoring interns and students on their thesis work and assisting the Principal Investigator on grant writings. During my job with The New Delhi Birth Cohort, I was selected for the National Institute of Health USAs Junior Faculty Trainee Fellowship, and participated in 4 months training program on Epidemiology of Non Communicable Diseases at Emory University, Atlanta. I also got chance to work with government machinery during my initial jobs at CGMFP and ICSSR projects, where I worked closely with government officials. My academic qualifications and working experiences are in accordance with the advertised posts eligibility criteria, and hence making me a best-suited candidate for it.
