Putting a tarot deck onto the sides of dice is not a

new idea. But, unlike many tarot decks out there today,
The Numerical Tarot is uniquely suited for such a
diametrical arrangement of ideas across sides.
The Numerical Tarot uses balance, symmetry, contrast
and consistency to create deck with clearly defined
opposites that fit well across sides of dice. In the
Numerical Tarot, the Major Trumps are split between
light and dark, as are the suits of the Minors. Two light
suits, two dark suits insure that a complete vocabulary
of human experience is covered.
The four suits, and their corresponding Majors create a
grid matrix of ideas that are particularly useful. With
that in mind, presenting these ideas on the faces of a
cube seems natural. With one Major and two Minors
that are light, and one Major and two Minors that are
dark, six possibilities emerge for each number of
numerology, upon which The Numerical Tarot is based.
Opposite concepts situated on opposite sides of a
cube accentuate the balance, symmetry, contrast and
consistency that is the hallmark of The Numerical Tarot
design.
Pull them from a bag like Runes. Toss them from a
container like Yahtzee. Lay them out in a spread. Or
pull one a day, just like a regular deck of cards.

Assembly Instructions

The dimensions of these dice and the assembly instructions are based on the use of standard
110lb index paper, using .5" double sticky tape and .75" regular clear tape. You can try using
heavier paper, or lighter paper, and glue or glue sticks if you like, results may vary.

1) Cut out the shape.

Be very, very precise!

2) Score and fold all lines.

3) Use double sticky tape on

the square between the
two curly wings labeled "Up, Over, Down, In"
4) Curl the stages of the wings around,
one up, one over, one down and one in,
and push down on double sticky tape below.
Optionally, you might also tape the inside walls of
each open ended box together for extra strength,
using regular tape.
5) Tape the tops of the two open ended boxes that are formed by curingl the two wings.
6) Use double stickey tape on
the very end square, and...
7) ... fold that flap
over and stick it
to the top of the two
open ended boxes
to make one big box.
8) Repeat steps
3 thru 8 for the
other side.

9) Fold the two boxes

on either end, in
toward each other
to make one big
square box.
10) Tape the two boxes
together at the top,
and down the sides,
along the seam.

11) Use double sticky tape

to tape one overlapping
flap over the other.

12) Use TWO parallel pieces

of double sticky tape on
each of the flaps that contain
the final artwork, so that they really stick well.
Try to get the tape ALL the way to the edges!

13) Repeat all steps

for all NINE dice!

14) Enjoy!
