Aim
It is the foremost requirement of a student to decide and choose his/her aim before he/she is going to start preparation. You must be sincere and
honest enough in assessing your suitability for the Aim.
Start Early
For success in achieving your aim, it is required to start preparation right from class XI with dedication and devotion sincerely
Proper Planning
For a school going student it may be little difficult to go for academic as well as competitive studies together. If you plan and make a time table it
will be an easy task for you.
Punctuality
It is very much important to be punctual while preparing for exam, else you may- find that some part of your syllabus is not covered and may
cause lack of confidence.
Serious Approach
You must take your study as a entertaining instrument. Must feel enjoying your study. This will create a conducive atmosphere for study and avoid
unwanted tension.
Frequently Tests
You must undergo frequent tests within time frame to know your position about the examination standard you are appearing
Honest Approach
You must solve the problems honestly at your own. Bring your answer to the question first and then compare with the given Answer Sheet. Do not
depend on readymade solutions only. This will loose your confidence.
Consultation
In case you find somewhere stuck in solving problems, you must consult your friends and teachers to save time.
How to be Confident
A person can be confident, If he has accepted any responsibility cheerfully, makes out a plan to start work, give priority to the work to be done at
first and at last, deploy minimum suitable work force, explain his plan to the work force, looking cheerful, make the workers understand the
planning nicely, boost their energy by telling jokes and brave stories and complete the task to the satisfaction within time etc.
Application stage
During this sage the students are given carefully selected problems to solve. This not only builds the confidence of the students but also makes
them familiar with the divergence nature and complexity of the problems. This includes all innovative problems based on the latest trends in IITJEE examination. The students are given sufficient range of questions so as to give them thorough exposure and practice in solving graded
problems from the entire syllabus.

that you enhance the prestige of your family. Your teachers and relatives also wish that you should become a brilliant Engineer. Your admission in
the Engineering College will definitely add one more feather not only in your personality, but also in your family.Your friends and relatives will be
proud of you.
Some people believe that success in any Competition is a matter of chance. But it is not so. In general, a candidate with 70% marks in the Board
Examination can perform better than a candidate with 75% marks, but not better than a candidate with 85% or 90%. However : It can be achieved
only by hard work and forgetting worldly attractions, around you, for sometime. You must study at least 14-15 hours a day and revise the syllabus
as many times as possible. The following points will prove very helpful in achieving your dream of joining a Engineering College of your choice.

Knowing the subject matter included in the Entrance Examination. You should thoroughly grasp all the subjects and finer points in
each chapter. It can be done by systematically studying the c o m plete course seriously in the class room as well as at home. This factor
contributes about 60% chances of success.
Studying from the Study Material. You should prepare from Study Material, which is written strictly according to the given syllabus.;
You should avoid the books, which contain superfluous or inadequate matter. This factor contributes about 20% chances of success.
Understanding the style of questions. You should be fully aware of the latest style and trend of the questions likely to be asked in the
examination. This can be done by going through the previous years question papers. This factor contributes about 10% chances of success.
Practice for answering the questions. You should also test your ability to answer the questions in the time provided for each
competition. This can be done either in the class room or honestly at home. This factor contributes about 10% chances of success.
Secret of success. It has been observed that most of the candidates complain about the shortage of time. And they feel sad for not
been able to attempt all the questions, though they knew the correct answers. You can overcome this problem by attempting the questions first
in Chemistry. After this you should attempt the questions in Physics and then the questions in Mathematics. Even in Physics, you should first
attempt the non-numerical type questions and then numerical type. In this way, you will be able to attempt maximum number of questions in
the examination.

could be used in solving difficult questions. In the same way, give your response to each question one by one. On completion of the paper, go

changed. By this time you might have completed the paper and may hand it over to the invigilator.
