I AM PROTECTED FROM MALARIA

IMPREGNATION

We are committed to improving the lives of people through innovative personal

protection products.
Tana Netting has over 25 years experience producing and distributing high quality personal
protection products for public health and travel applications. In the 1980s, we pioneered the
insecticide-treated net (ITN) to combat malaria. In 2004, we again responded to calls by the
international public health community, forming a public-private partnership with Bayer
Environmental Science and USAID to develop the DAWAPLUS long-lasting insecticidal net
(LN). Since our state-of-the-art factory opened in December 2005, DAWAPLUS has been
sold to malaria control projects, businesses and travelers in over 30 countries on five
continents. Tana Netting is committed to operating in a socially responsible manner. As part
of this commitment, our corporate social responsibility policies are implemented in every
area of our operations.

DAWAPLUS long-lasting insecticidal mosquito nets

DAWAPLUS is a long-lasting insecticidal mosquito net (LN). DAWAPLUS has been
evaluated by the WHO Pesticide Evaluation Scheme (WHOPES) and interim recommendation
has been given for its use in malaria prevention and control. DAWAPLUS is made of 100%
polyester and is treated with deltamethrin, which knocks down, repels and kills mosquitoes,
reducing the risk of malaria transmission and ensuring a good nights sleep. DAWAPLUS
remains effective for over 20 washes, offering durable protection from malaria. Unlike
conventional insecticide-treated mosquito nets (ITNs), which must be re-treated after every
four to five washes, DAWAPLUS requires no re-treatment over the lifetime of the net.

Highlights

Repels and kills mosquitoes, even after 20 or more washes

Safe for pregnant women, infants and children
Available in a wide range of colors, shapes and sizes
Produced in a socially responsible manner

About DAWAPLUS LN
Safe & Durable Protection
DAWA PLUS offers safe & durable protection from
malaria and other vector-borne diseases, maintaining
biological efficacy even after the net has been
washed 20 or more times. DAWA PLUS is
factory-treated with deltamethrin insecticide, one of
the worlds safest and most widely-used public health
insecticides.

High Quality
DAWA PLUS has been evaluated by WHOPES and
interim recommendation has been given for its use in
malaria prevention and control. To ensure that each
net is in compliance with WHO specifications, all
fabric is checked and insecticide content verified by
high performance liquid chromatography (HLPC).

Flexibility
Tana Netting understands that consumer satisfaction
is a key driver of net usage. As such, DAWA PLUS
is available in a variety of shapes, colors,
dimensions, accessories and packaging options to
address consumer expectations in different markets.

Responsibility
DAWA PLUS is worker and environment-friendly.
Tana Netting offers a safe and healthy work
environment, with fair benefits and a strict policy
against child labor. Further, we are committed to
sustainable development in our markets and work with
local partners to develop lasting distribution networks
for public health products.

Performance of DAWAPLUS LNs

Biological efficacy

DAWAPLUS has been evaluated in accordance with WHOPES protocols to determine its
efficacy after a series of washes. The following results were obtained by BioGenius GmbH in
April 2008:

* Knockdown represents the percentage knockdown after 60 minutes

** Mortality represents the percentage of mosquito mortality after 24 hours

According to these results, DAWAPLUS meets WHOPES criteria for efficacy:

> 95% knockdown after 60 minutes (3 minutes' exposure time)
> 80% mortality after 24 hours (3 minutes' exposure time)

Wash resistance
Wash retention trials conducted in June 2008 by PSB Corporation indicate that after 20
washes DAWAPLUS retains 82.3% of the active ingredient, deltamethrin, equivalent to
72.8mg/m2. This exceeds performance standards for LNs.
