The Asian continent

East Asia includes, the most well-known parts of Asia (by Westerners at least), China, Hong Kong,
Taiwan, North & South Korea, Japan, and Mongolia. These are the ones people mainly think of when
they think of Asians. In our area of Northern Virginia, Koreans
make up the majority of East Asian immigrants. I went to school
with many Korean-American kids in the really nice, suburban
community of Springfield, VA. There is a Korean family that I
have visited, and they go to our place of worship. They live in
Burke, VA.
Chinese have formed a huge, immigrant base in the U.S. There
are many Chinatowns in the U.S. There are Chinese restaurants in almost every community in the U.S.
I love Chinese food, esp. Shrimp-fried rice, General Tsos chicken and others. I especially, enjoy the All
You Can Eat places.
I am very fascinated by Japanese people, and their culture.

Taiwan. She is back in Taiwan now. Many Taiwanese are ethnically Chinese.

As I said Chinese food is very very popular in the U.S. There are even some Korean restaurants around.

Ding How Restaurant that has been in Springfield, Virginia for over 40 years.

Evergreen Restaurant, where I got food from all the time when I was at VCU in Richmond. This one is only 12 years old.

There are a number of International grocery stores, owned by Koreans in Northern Virginia. In these stores,
most of the employees are Hispanic people from Central America, and the customer base is pretty diverse
(Central Americans or Hispanics still being the majority).
