Ring Mills for the fine grinding of hard to brittle and fibrous material
The LAARMANN ring mills LM 2000 and LM 5000 as well as LMABM 250 are essential for all applications
which demand the grinding of hard, brittle and fibrous material down to analytical endfineness.

Method of operation
With a LAARMANN Ring Mill you put the sample together with a disc or a set of rings and roller in a bowl
to bring it all together into 3-dimensional vibrations. Inside the bowls the sample will be ground and homogenized by high pressure, impact and friction rapidly down to analytical endfineness.
Typically samples are ground to 90-95% <75m in app. 3 minutes.

LAARMANN Ring Mills are appropriate for bowls up to a volume of 5000cc

According to the desired maximum volume of the bowls you can select between LAARMANN Ring Mills
LM 2000 und LM 5000:
LM 2000: Bowl 50cc to 2000cc
LM 5000: Bowl 5000cc
The optional Liftboy
makes the handling of
the big grinding sets
more easy.

By a digital display all parameters could be programmed

and controlled very easily
(time, interval, right-left rotation ...)

The cabinet has a drawer to collect dust and fallen sample material.
Additionally the cabinet could be separated from the vibrating unit very easily for service.

The work space for grinding sets is made from stainless steel, optional built
with a pneumatic or manual (only LM 2000) lid clamping system as well as
a safety switch.

LMABM 250
The LM ABM 250 is designed for the continuous grinding of samples down to an endfineness <100m.
The grinding process is controlled by an electronic control. The control could be operated via an easy to use display. All steps of the process can be programmed and controlled.
The sample material can be feed via the infeed hopper on top of the cabinet and is
blown out of the bowl at the end of the process automatically. The ground material is
then provided by an integrated sample divider.
