Write a 1- page essay on The Higher Education in Europe and emphasize the role of
education in peoples lives.
"Higher education" curricula, implies training or preparation for research at the postsecondary level, provided by universities or other educational institutions which are recognized

as institutions of higher education by the competent State organs, and/or through recognized
accreditation systems.
In accordance with the principle of subsidiarity, policies on higher education in Europe
are decided mainly at the level of each of the Member States of the European Union (EU).
Therefore, the role of the EU as well as the policies in relation to education, vocational training,
youth and sport, is generally support and, in part, of coordination. Although any harmonisation of
the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States is explicitly excluded,
the EU can act in accordance with the ordinary legislative procedure and the stimulus measures.
In addition, the Council may adopt recommendations, on a proposal from the Commission. The
main objectives of the Union's measures in the field of higher education include: supporting the
mobility of students and staff; promoting the mutual recognition of diplomas and periods of
study; promotion of cooperation between higher education institutions and the development of
education (undergraduate) remotely.
The role of higher education in the knowledge society is recognized in both the European
Union and its Member States. At this level of education is expecting an important contribution in
achieving the objectives contained in the Lisbon Treaty, in terms of growth, prosperity and social
cohesion.
The term comes from the Latin education: educational and educo-meaning: to nurture, to
grow, to take care of. In fact, the education of man, formed the individual discipline, primarily
for themselves, but also for those around them. A possible definition of the concept of education
in the german philosopher Immanuel Kant would be saying, is the work of multi-disciplinary
Education, cultivation of human domestication, and the purpose of education is to develop the
individual pefeciunea of all that is unlikely. "
The education process is a complex one and not everyone likes to do education. From
individuals to institutions, the process is in line with the process of education. Social
relationships, professional relationships, and human ones are based on education, training, the
training of individuals in the community more. Still small, the child needs to know certain rules
of condui, standards of morality and human behavior. For his training, it must avoid contact
with evil, on the contrary, to fight against it, to know and be able to defeat him. In fact, the
purpose of education is to prepare for a full life.
I am convinced that we will continue to move forward in Europe, increasing cooperation
and learning from others.
