Important Notes
o
xx stands 5in Drill-Pipe in the mast has been drifted with 2-3/4 drift.
Ensure all pipe including x/o have been drifted to 2-3/4in minimum drift on surface as required.
Visually check for debris inside shoe joint and float joint immediately before picking up.
Discuss safety issues related to working around V Door at pre-job safety meeting.
Keep the pipe moving slowly in open hole to avoid getting stuck.
Operations
1. Make up 7in cement head assembly on the pipe rack with chain tongs as follows:
o
Make up 3m handling pup onto Weatherford cement head. Make up 1m and 6m pups below
cement head and lay down.
Inspect inside of shoe joint and float joint with flashlight for debris before making up.
Thread-locking connections as per tally. Make up torque with Bakerlock is 8,460 ftlbs.
VAM Top - Optimum 9,400 ft/lbs make up torque. Maximum 10,340 ft/lbs. Minimum 8,460 ft/lbs
Pick up each joint directly from crane into side door elevators.
Check if every centraliser spins freely and check for broken or cracked welds on centralisers.
7. Record Pick Up & Slack-Off weights after picking up the hanger (Driller & Weatherford Liner
hand). Up weight ______ Tons. Down weight ______ Tons
o
Change to 5 DP elevators and make up liner hanger as directed by Weatherford liner hand.
Pull bushings before running hanger through rotary and keep hanger centered while running
down.
Fill PBR with water through fill up plugs on floating junk bonnet while circulating
Do not let the Drill-Pipe rotate use back-up tong when making up Drill-Pipe.
RIH at 1 minute per stand. Slow down to 2 minute per stand if losses occur.
Circulate Liner and Drill-Pipe contents (165 bbls/ 1390 strokes) do not exceed 600 psi.
100gpm:_______ psi
200gpm:_______ psi
250gpm: _______psi
15. Set top drive torque limit to 8000 ft/lbs (rotation only with Company Mans permission) .
16. RIH liner with 70 stands Drill-Pipe into open hole to 2477m.
o
RIH at 2 minutes per stand. If losses occur slow down to 3 minutes per stand.
If a stop has to be made for any reason the pipe should be kept moving slowly to prevent stuck
pipe.
If it is not possible to work the pipe make up top drive and rotate at 20 rpm (W/ford LHR hand
must be present)
Fill every stand in open hole. DO NOT MAKE UP TOP-DRIVE TO FILL PIPE.
17. Make-Up Top Drive to stand No. 71 and break circulation with 100gpm.
o
Record Up Weight _____ Tons. Down Weight ______ Tons. Torque @ 20 rpm______ftlbs
18. Wash down 15m with 100 gpm and tag bottom (for space out). Rack back stand No. 71.
19. Make up 1 x single drillpipe (drifted to 2-3/4in)
20. Make-Up Weatherford Cement Head with handling joint on top complete with 6.24m and 1.67m
DP Pup joints underneath Cement Head.
o
Make up cementing chiksan to cement head in Vee Door when picking up.
21. Make up Top drive and break circulation slowly. Record up and down weights. Wash down to
2461m with 50 gpm (no rotation).
22. With 7 liner shoe at 2461m, stage up flowrate to 100gpm establish free rotating torque with
100 gpm. Do not exceed 8000 ftlbs torque. Chain the brake down, do not move the pipe from
this depth.
