The first Taylor’s campus was located in a building at Jalan Pantai, Kuala Lumpur

offering the Victorian High School Certificate (VHSC) programme for a student
population of 345. In 1985, Taylor’s moved to its second campus in PJ New Town. Four
years later, the Subang Jaya Campus was launched and two new Pre-University
programmes introduced – the International Canadian Pre-University (ICPU) programme
and South Australian Matriculation (SAM).

By 1990, a host of other programmes had been introduced along the way, including the
American Degree Programme; Architecture, Quantity Surveying & Construction;
Business, Accounting, Marketing & Finance; Cambridge A Levels; Computer Science;
Software Engineering & IT; Engineering; Hospitality Tourism & Culinary Arts; Taylor’s
Business Foundation.

In 2001, the 4th Campus in Wisma Subang housing the Taylor’s Business School was
launched. The following year, Taylor's College Petaling Jaya (TCPJ) became the 5th
Campus at Leisure Commerce Square and Taylor’s School of Hospitality and Tourism
was relocated from Kuala Lumpur to this new campus. TCPJ also housed the School of
Communication, School of Architecture Building & Design and Taylor’s School of
Computing. Then in 2004, the 6th Campus was launched in Subang Square housing the
American Degree Programme.

More expansion was in the works with the launch of the 7th and newest campus in Sri
Hartamas in 2008, which incorporated contemporary design and a conducive study
environment. The new campus is able to accommodate a maximum of 800 students, and
at the moment runs the Cambridge A Level programme, South Australian Matriculation
programme and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

Taylor's University College Malaysia is one of Malaysia's oldest, most


successful and reputable private education institutions. Since its inception in

Taylor's University College and Taylor's College.

For over three decades, Taylor's University College has been recognised
as Malaysia's leading educational institution of higher learning. The College has
prepared over 55,000 successful graduates for higher education through a
comprehensive range of internationally recognised courses ranging from pre-
university to diploma and degree programmes.

Since its establishment in 1969, Taylor's University College Malaysia has


expanded from its main location in Subang Jaya, known simply as Taylor's
University College Subang Jaya, to include four additional campuses extending
throughout the area surrounding its main campus, namely Taylor's Business
School, Taylor's College Petaling Jaya, Taylor's American Degree Transfer
Program and Taylor's College School of Hospitality and Tourism.

This organization is located in the urban area of Subang Jaya. The


Taylor's University College campus serves as a central hub for students, with
well-equipped facilities and a conducive study environment. Taylor's five
campuses which house respective schools are strategically located in the vibrant
and well-planned township of Subang Jaya.

In order to define the objective of Taylor's University College Malaysia, the


mission and vision of the organisation is reviewed. The vision and mission of this
organisation is to fulfill the purpose of the organisation’s establishment to the
corporate governance, stakeholder views, business ethics and also the cultural
context. As for Taylor's University College Malaysia core purpose is to educate
the youth of the world to take their productive place as leaders in the global
community.
Mission can be defined as a statement that spells out why a business
exists and what the business will do while vision is a more broad statement of
what a business would like to achieve. Both mission and vision should well
explain the objective of the business which means a clearly measurable target of
how to achieve the business aims. The criteria of the business objective must be
specific, measurable, agreed, time specific and also realistic. Specific means by
the objective of the establishment of the organization is stated

Broad Organisational (5-year) Strategies


 Identifying clear research priorities, defining clear policies with regards
research and resource allocation in particular, and establishing clear
procedures for management of research
 Recruiting faculty members who are qualified and competent researchers
and recognising research excellence via career advancement, awards
and incentives.
 Encouraging cooperation in research through further developing TUC
research clusters or centres and encouraging collaboration with external
research partners such as other universities, research institutes and
industry partners.

This task is regarding the stakeholder’s objectives of the Taylor's
University College Malaysia. The stakeholders can be defined as a group of
people who have an interest in the performance of an organisation which is the
Taylor's University College Malaysia. The stakeholders of the organization have
an impact upon legal structure and could also contribute to conflicting interest
among stakeholder. The stakeholder can be divided into two which is internal
including the manager and employees while the external including the suppliers,
shareholders, customers, trade union, partnership organisations and
government.

As for Taylor's University College Malaysia the stakeholder include the


manager of the university which is the president and vice chancellor of the
Taylor's University College Malaysia, Professor Dato’ Dr Hassan Said

Responsibilities
 The Peer Assisted Study Session (PASS) programme was implemented in
July 2006 to offer academic assistance to students who may find it difficult
to cope with some demanding subjects in their respective programmes.
 Training for new and current staff.
 In line with the government’s call to offer more opportunities for students
to pursue their studies at Private Institutions of Higher Education (IPTS),
Taylor’s University College has introduced the Bumiputera Study Grant
(BSG) scheme in year 2006. The Bumiputera Study Grant was exclusively
created to benefit bumiputera* students by offering financial assistance in
the form of tuition fee waiver of up to 30% for selected courses at Taylor’s.
To date, thousands of bumiputera students have benefited from it and
have since joined the ranks of elite group of Taylor’s students and
graduates.
