Jewish levity:
A CNN Reporter, BBC Reporter, and an Israeli commando were captured by terrorists in
Iraq. The leader of the terrorists told them that he would grant them each one last
request before they were beheaded.
The CNN Reporter said, Well, Im an American, so Id like one last hamburger with
French fries. The leader nodded to an underling who left and returned with the burger
& fries. The reporter ate it and said Now, I can die.
The BBC Reporter said, Im a reporter to the end. I want to take out my tape recorder
and describe the scene here and whats about to happen. Maybe someday someone will
713

hear it and know that I was on the job till the end. The terror leader directed an aide to
hand over the tape recorder and dictated some comments. The reporter then said,
Now I can die knowing I stayed true until the end.
The leader turned and said, And now, Mr. Israeli tough guy, what is your final wish?
Kick me in the ass, said the soldier.
What? asked the leader, Will you mock us in your last hour?
No, Im not kidding. I want you to kick me in the ass, insisted the Israeli.
So the leader shoved him into the open and kicked him in the ass.
The soldier went sprawling, but rolled to his knees, pulled a 9 mm pistol from under his
flak jacket, and shot the leader dead.
In the resulting confusion, he jumped to his knapsack, pulled out his carbine and
sprayed the terrorists with gunfire.
In a flash, all terrorists were either dead or fleeing for their lives.
As the soldier was untying the reporters, they asked him, Why didn't you just shoot
them in the beginning?
Why did you ask them to kick you in the ass first?
What? replied the Israeli, and have you report that I was the aggressor?

Daniel Pipes: Id like to make three geostrategic points in my few minutes, and I
apologize in advance for having to leave, but the plane schedule is as it is. The first
point is that and this has been said before, Id like to reiterate it that Iran is a far
greater threat than ISIS, and we are making an extraordinary mistake in joining with the
Iranians against ISIS. Need one point out that ISIS has perhaps $5 million a day in oil
revenue and 15,000 troops and, granted, a dynamism, but that Iran is a powerful state
of 75 million people, an oil revenue in the hundreds of millions of dollars, billions of
dollars, and an army of hundreds of thousands and, of course, a terror network and is
building up their weapons? I would predict to you, ladies and gentleman, that ISIS,
which appeared so suddenly, will disappear suddenly as well because it has so many
enemies, it is so overextended, it is trying to do so much at the same time that it is going
to collapse before very long and it is going to disappear as a state whereas Iran is going
to be a longer lasting entity.
Here is a right-wing view of the upcoming elections:

The Likud List and Likud Ideology

[c/o Americans for a Safe Israel]
[While we regret the seeming loss of MK Moshe Feiglin and MK Tzipi Hotevely, both
good friends of AFSI, Likud election results overwhelmingly favored candidates who are
in favor of a Whole Israel. Not one of the most successful candidates has supported
turning over any territory to the Palestinian Arabs.]
Internal elections in the Likud were held this week, and in the big picture, nothing
groundbreaking occurred. As expected Prime Minister Netanyahu overwhelmingly won
the election to lead the party, and nearly all of the top MKs received realistic places on
the new Likud list. Following Netanyahu is current Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein,
followed by Gilad Arden then Israel Katz, Miri Regev, Silvan Shalom, Moshe Yaalon,
Zeev Elkin, Tzachi Hanegbi, and Danny Danon.
Largely, the noise surrounding the Likuds list is unimportant what is important is the
fact that not a one of these politicians campaigned for votes inside the powerful Likud
central committee on a platform of ceding any land to the Palestinian Arabs. Nor, did
any of them mention during campaigning the need to appease America or the European
Union, stopping the building of settlements, or allowing the south of Israel to be
attacked by Hamas without retaliation.
Lets hope that they remember the electorate who put them in power and the words
they used when campaigning. For good reason, nationalists have long been concerned
about Likud-led governments.
Netanyahu noted after the list was announced, This is the list of a ruling party that can
continue leading Israel. With the possible exceptions of Gilad Erdan and Tzachi
Hanegbi, there are no people on the Likud list who support a Palestinian State- so he too
should remember the people of the Likud who elect Israels leaders.
Revisionist Zionist leader Zeev Jabotinsky once said, "Ninety per cent of Zionism may
consist of tangible settlement work, and only ten per cent of politics; but those ten
percent are the precondition of success.
If only the Likud can do the right thing 90 percent of the time, there is no question that
Israel will be in the right place.
This Likud must remember the ideology of Zeev Jabotinsky:
Everybody is wrong and you alone are right? No doubt this question
springs by itself to the readers lips and mind. It is customary to answer
this with apologetic phrases to the effect that I fully respect public
opinion, that I bow to it, that I was glad to make concessions. All this is
unnecessary, and all this is untrue. You cannot believe in anything in the
world, if you admit even once that perhaps your opponents are right,
and not you. This is not the way to do things. There is but one truth in
715

the world, and it is all yours. If you are not sure of it, stay at home; but if
you are sure, dont look back, and it will be your way.
Some of the following points from Israpundit are redundant *regarding prior Blast e-mails] but are
worth revisiting:
Hotevely proposed Israel annex C at first, ingather a million-plus Jews or so, and then
annex the rest This may explain his loss [along with that of Feiglin].
The long years of propaganda on the vision of two states for two
peoples blocked the most basic desire that exists in most Israeli citizens,
not to give up the territory captured in the blood in a defensive war. The
solution: the annexation of the whole country, without fear of the Arab
minority that sits there.
Levi Eshkol, after the Six-Day War, said dowry beautiful but I do not like
the Bride. This sentence is the essence of the Israeli fear annexing
Judea and Samaria: Dealing with the Arab problem. Left built a security
fence and agreed to establish a Palestinian state that would endanger
Israel, and the right was waiting for a miracle voluntary migration may
occur, or you might decide to adopt Jordanians of Palestinian brethren.
Both sides are looking for a magic solution would sweep the Arab
equation. Over the years, got a huge settlement enterprise, but the
political right political passivity socket. When Beilin ran Geneva, right
running hills and squares and as more and adapting his prophecies
against vision Beilin, the greater the erosion of most Israeli leaders in
the opposite direction. Lieberman, Netanyahu, torch and Yachimovitch,
and even Bennett is willing to annex only the Area C, they all speak the
language of Oslo.
Proportional Proportionality
The pre 2nd world war Appeasement policy closely resembles todays
demands of Proportionality.
The term proportionality is one of the remarkable inventions of the
modern western legal systems. It enables the Courts find the desirable
way in the interpretation of private rights versus the State in
Administrative Law, solve disputes among litigants and set down
appropriate punishments in criminal cases. However, this term is only
appropriate where all conflicting parties act under the same legal frame
and the values are accepted by all of them. The same rule may also be
applied to conflicts in the international sphere, provided all parties in
the conflict accept the same values and follow them.
However, in international conflicts, where not all the parties act in the
framework of the international conventions, the term proportionality
becomes an one way weapon applied and used against the party who
716

does follow them and is called to restrain and abstain from any
response against the attacking party, claiming that any response may
escalate the conflict because, or despite the fact that, the attacking
party does not consider himself bound by proportionalities or any
other limits or accepted rules.
Egypts Sisi: Islamic Thinking Is Antagonizing the Entire World
Among other things, Sisi said that the corpus of *Islamic+ texts and
ideas that we have sacralized over the years are antagonizing the
entire world; that it is not possible that 1.6 billion people *reference

that Egypt (or the Islamic world in its entirety) is being torn, it is being
destroyed, it is being lostand it is being lost by our own hands.
Turkey is no American Ally
Turkey is officially a NATO ally, and Obama has called the current
President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoan, a friend. But Erdogan-led
Turkey does not behave as an ally or a friend of the US. This is not a new
development.
Erdoan and his Islamist party, the AKP, have ruled Turkey since 2002.
Erdogans Turkey has gradually distanced itself from the West, adopting
domestic and foreign policies fueled by Ottoman and Islamist impulses.
Turkey has been on the road to an authoritarian regime for several
years. Infringements on human rights have gradually increased. In truth,
Turkey has never had a political system with checks and balances able
to constrain attempts to consolidate power around one politician. In
recent years, Erdoan has weakened further the few constitutional
constraints against the Putinization of the Turkish political system.

Israpundit also concluded that the Right-wing annexation drive has been fueled by false demographics
{T. Belman: TOI has sided with Della Pergola instead of with Yoram
Ettinger, whom they call an extremist; so does COGAT, which is run by
Yaalon and Netanyahu. I, for one am sticking with Ettinger.}
Palestinian demographic survey highly inflated
The latest demographic survey of the Palestinian population by the
Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics overestimates the number of
Palestinians resident between the Mediterranean Sea and the River
Jordan by around 1.2 million, a leading Israeli expert on demography
has told The Algemeiner.
Ambassador Yoram Ettinger, a former Israeli diplomat who now works
as lecturer and consultant and is well-known in policy circles for his
research on Palestinian and Israeli demography, said that the
Palestinian statistics, released yesterday, are inflated by more than 1
million in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) and by almost 400,000 in
Gaza.
The end of the monopoly of Israels demographers of doom is supported by a
Strategic Assessment, issued by the Institute for National Security Studies; note
Excerpts from The Weight of the Demographic Factor in Israels Strategic
Considerations on the Palestinian Issue:
The demographic issue has become a source of profound controversy
in Israel. Many see the demographic processes as a threat to the future
of Israel as a state that is both Jewish and democratic, thereby
necessitating rapid disengagement from the Palestinians, whether by
means of a negotiated settlement or unilateral steps. Others dispute the
need for panic, pointing instead to data indicating much more moderate
trends: the Jewish majority will continue and even grow, both in the
State of Israel proper and in the whole of the western land of Israel,
certainly if the Gaza Strip is excluded.
In 2013 the Institute for Zionist Strategies published an updated,
comprehensive study. The most significant differences *from the
demographers of doom+ indicate that the number of Palestinians in
the PA is lower by 0.7-1.3 million than the number presented by the
more alarmist approach and the data of the Palestinian Central Bureau
of Statistics. Moreover, the data shows a Jewish majority in all of [the
area west of the Jordan River] today and a more significant majority in

718

the coming two decades, especially if the Gaza Strip is excluded from
the equation.
This was composed by BY ELHANAN MILLER, TOI
The number of Jews and Arabs between the Jordan River and the
Mediterranean Sea has always been of interest to pundits and
politicians on both sides of Israels political divide.
But as rampant Middle East violence and a fragmented Palestinian body
politic make the prospect of normalization with the Palestinians seem
more distant than ever to most Israelis, the demographic issue as it
is often called has taken center stage, shifting the political debate in
Israel from the likelihood of regional peace to the threat to Israels
democratic character.
(Wanted to share a FB "conversation" with you, Doc. You may find it useful - or not - in some upcoming
"blast." It is with a FB "friend" and editor of a local newsletter):
Further to your comment re: not wanting to listen to reason...is that many today
operate on a purely emotional level, never really engaging their largest organ: the one
situated between the ears and behind the eyes. Also, given the short attention span and
lack of reading and writing skills fostered by an education system and media focused on
gadgets, illustrations, and 30 sec. sound bites, how does one learn to do research,
analyze data inputs, and through critical thinking arrive at reasoned opinion (output)?
It is so much simpler to operate at levels of the brain akin to Freud's "id," which is the
instinctive, impulsive level, than behave at the level of the "ego" which deals with
reality, or the "super-ego" which incorporates the concept of "conscience," and thus the
notions of both "right and wrong."
Looking at the world around us, it is instructive to see the current level of what I would
consider to be rampant sociopathic behavior. Has its level been driven by a progressive
agenda in the schools, and the media which is centered around "secular humanism" and
"situation ethics" rather than grounded in the Judeo-Christian principles embodied for
example in the 10 Commandments?
Today, the founding principles of our republic and the very foundation of American
civilization are frowned upon by the faculty lounge elitists as "quaint," or no longer
operative in the modern world. I would postulate the opposite view: that the deemphasis on distinctions between right vs. wrong, and good vs. evil is post-modern.
It is the deconstruction of homo-sapiens - a sentient being with the capacity for sagacity
- into some predecessor species in the genus "homo (human).
