Hand tools
o Hand tools for adjusting, dismantling, assembling, finishing, cutting.
o Tool set: screw drivers, pliers, punches, wrenches, files

The following resources must be provided:
o Simulated Classrooms with teaching and learning tools.
o Hand tools for adjusting, dismantling, assembling, finishing, cutting
o Tool set includes the following but not limited to: screw drivers, pliers, punches,
wrenches, files
o Specification and Users Manual
Well ventilated and well lighted classroom, conducive to learning equipped with LCD
projector, projection screen, and whiteboard;
Audio-visual aids
METHODOLOGIES
The module will be delivered through:
interactive discussions;
demonstration in the classroom utilizing visual aids and other teaching materials to gain
the required attitude and knowledge; and
practical application to acquire the required skills and competencies.
Take home reading assignments may also be given from time to time.

ASSESSMENT METHOD
Assessment of learning outcomes includes written and oral scrutiny of the strength of
trainees understanding and knowledge of the fundamentals and applications of this
module.
Assessment must show that the candidate:
o Demonstrated safe working practices at all times
o Communicated information about processes, events or tasks being undertaken to
ensure a safe and efficient working environment
o Planned tasks in all situations and reviewed task requirements as appropriate
o Performed all tasks to specification
o Maintained and stored tools in appropriate location
Written quizzes and examination must be administered to check if the required learning
outcomes are achieved.
Recitation is encouraged through a scheme of problem and solution presentation of
students.
Demonstration with questioning must be given in order to simulate the activities, thus,
ensuring the trainees attainment of the required knowledge, skills, attitude and
competency. The instructor must provide the exercises.

procedure
