We have some new Learning Destinations for you to enjoy:

Ruth BallantyneFlute Lessons


Flute lessons that aim to explore children's musical abilities, and teach
them skills to help them learn to play the flute.
Individual lessons are offered. However, regular ensemble
opportunities are also available with 4Flutes workshops and performances
at local festivals and events.

DanSci Dance Studios


We believe everyone should have access to great dance classes and pride
ourselves in offering sessions for those who may not necessarily have opportunity at more traditional dance schools.
Learn different styles of dance from ballet & contemporary to Latin and
Street dance.

There is an exciting event coming up at the Plymouth University campus this year
BRITISH SCIENCE WEEK! The University will be celebrating from the 18th 20th of
March, and on Friday the 20th it is aimed at School Years 6-9, so it will be perfect for
some of you!
There will be several workshops, stalls and sessions where you can get involved including Maths with Bubbles and Supermarket Scientist. Childrens University will
have a stall there, offering a quiz which, if completed, can earn you a CU stamp for
your passport! Below is an example of one of the talks that will be held...
The Pyromania talk, looks partly at the chemistry of fireworks, complete with demonstrations of coloured flames and gunpowder, culminating in a video of the successful Guinness World Record
attempt.

Each month this year we will choose a quote that


you can all think about for that month Try to
make sense of it and apply it to something like the
way you do an activity or the way you think about
something! If you come across any quotes (in
books or films that you watch) that you want to
share, let us know your ideas and they can appear
in the next months issue!
