Annual Meeting of the Congregation January 25, 2015

The next annual meeting of the congregation of Central Presbyterian
Church and of the members of our church corporation (Central Presbyterian Church, Inc., of Terre Haute, Indiana) (the corporation), will be held in
the church sanctuary immediately following 10:30 a.m. worship (that is, approximately 11:30 a.m.) on Sunday, January 25, 2015.

The Christian Nurture Commission has approved a new

family program for 2015. Living In Faith Everyday
known as LIFE. This will be a time for families to affirm
the faith formation that happens in their homes. The 2015
schedule is in this Herald.

The Church Life-Church Action Commission invites women of

Central, of all ages, to a tea party on Saturday, January 24, at 2:00.
An assortment of tea and tea party goodies will be served, and
Bethann Smith will present a short program about her garden and
the products she makes. If you were lucky enough to buy her
hand cream or chap stick at the bazaar, youll want to learn more about how she makes
them! This is a wonderful opportunity to bring a friend for a warm escape from January. Although reservations are not required, signing up on the sheet in the Fellowship Hall will help
us plan.

Seventh Cents Youth News Tiffany Grossman
In December, the youth had a wonderful Christmas party at the Whitaker house. We collected
personal hygiene items for residents at Meadows Manor East. Singing Christmas carols is always a
highlight of the party. Thank you to the Whitakers for graciously hosting us.
This year has now drawn to an end, and what a memorable year it was for the
youth! We collected canned goods and money for food banks during our Souper Bowl of Caring,
had an awesome lock-in, created memorable worship services for Youth Sunday, and rocked the
Dangling Duo course at our yearly kickoff. Traveling to Lexington, Kentucky for our mission trip
will forever be a great memory for me and all participants. And this is just a few of the awesome
things we did this year! Thanks to everyone for a fantastic year.
Beginning January 1, I will be back from maternity leave. Thanks to all who made it possible for me to spend precious time with my little Hannah. I am especially grateful to Erin Pugh for
her hard work making sure everything continued in my absence. I will send a schedule for January
through June to all youth parents as soon as possible.

February 1: Super Bowl Sunday. Souper Bowl of Caring events during or after normal
worship. No evening youth group.

Isn't it exciting beginning a

new year? It's natural to look forward to
important dates and activities in the future, but we also like to look back and
recall memories from the past. CPC
Crafters have many pleasant memories of
hours spent planning for our annual holiday bazaar and miss that time spent together. Dates have been reserved on the
church calendar to have monthly opportunities to meet, socialize, and plan
for future events. The fourth Wednesday morning of the next several
months will be craft days. You may have a skill or project to share, new
ideas to improve the bazaar, or perhaps you would like to spend some quality time having lunch and getting to know other church women. You are all
welcome! Our first 2015 get together is on Wednesday, January 28th at
10 A.M. We hope you will include those plans in your schedule.
