Qualification for direct recruitment

Essential
i.
Doctorate degree in the subject concerned.
ii. Eight (08) years experience in the relevant subject as Scientist/Teacher or equivalent
position in the Pay BandIII of `15600-39100+GP of `5400/ 6000/ 7000/ 8000.
(The period spent in obtaining Ph.D degree will not be counted as teaching/research
and/or extension experience.)

Desirable
i.
Research Experience as evidenced by publications.

Note:\\

i. Requirement of professional degree shall be deemed as essential qualification.

ii. In case of candidates who hold post-graduate qualification in other subject/discipline
but have been working in the discipline concerned, additional two years of
experience will be required over and above the minimum prescribed period
Requirement of essential qualification of Ph.D degree in concerned subject relaxable for the
candidates who are the permanent residents of Ladakh for direct appointment (by selection) to
the post earmarked for High Mountain Arid Agriculture Research Institute, Leh, Ladakh.
However, such candidate shall have to acquire Ph.D degree within seven years from the date of
appointment,
if selected.
In case the candidate fails to seek admission in Ph.D or fails to complete the Ph.D degree
within the period prescribed above, the future increments beyond 07 years shall be stopped.

The relaxation will not apply to the candidates from other districts posted in
Leh/Kargil districts of Ladakh Region.

SUBMISSION:
a.

Application Form(s), obtained from the office of the Registrar, SKUAST-Kashmir, Shalimar,
Srinagar-190025, complete in all respects duly supported with attested copies of all
certificates and testimonials obtained by the candidate before last date of receipt, should
reach the office of Registrar, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences &
Technology of Kashmir, Shalimar Campus, Srinagar 190025, Kashmir, J&K, alongwith a
non-refundable Application Fee of ` 700/- (Rupees seven hundred only) in the shape of Band
Draft pledged to Comptroller, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences &
Technology of Kashmir, Shalimar Campus Srinagar, 190025, Kashmir.

complete in all respects duly supported with attested copies of all certificates and
testimonials obtained by the candidate before last date of receipt, should reach the office of

Shalimar Campus, Srinagar 190025, Kashmir J&K, alongwith a non-refundable Application
Fee of ` 1400/- (Rupees one thousand four hundred only) in the shape of Bank Draft pledged
to Comptroller, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir,
Shalimar Campus, Srinagar 190025, Kashmir.
(The candidates who had applied for the above posts in response to Advertisement
Notice No. 01 of 2014 dated: 16-01-2014 read with Notice issued vide No. Au/
Adm/GAD/2014/18129-38 dated December 30, 2014 need not to deposit Application
Fee of Rs.1400/- with their fresh Application Form for any of the above suitable
positions in response to this Advertisement Notice)

The candidate should also indicate Advt.Notice No. & date, his/her name, post for which
applied on the back of the Bank Draft.

3.

Eligible candidates will be informed about the date and venue of interview on the address for
correspondence recorded by them on the application form and shall also be placed on
University Website www.skuastkashmir.ac.in.However, University shall not be responsible for
non-receipt or delayed receipt of interview call letter by an applicant and the communication
posted to the eligible candidate on the correspondence address, shall be treated to have
been declared on him/her;

The list of eligible candidates shall be placed on University Website www.skuastkashmir.ac.in.

5.

Mere submission of application form(s) for the positions advertised here-in-above does not by
itself entitle an applicant to be called for interview;

6.

Candidates not fulfilling the requisite requirements prescribed here-in-above, as on the last
date of receipt of application forms, need not apply;

7.

Certificates in support of qualification must have been obtained from duly recognized
University/Institutions or organizations/departments, as the case may be;

8.

University reserves the right to withdraw the posts and/or defer filling up of the posts,
advertised here-in-above, without assigning any reason.

9.

The posts advertised here-in-above shall be filled up subject to the requirement in the
discipline, the number of posts to be filled may decrease or increase as per their availability.

The service conditions of the appointee shall be governed in accordance with the SKUAST-K
Statutes and rules of the University as are in force with amendments or as may come into
force from time to time, together read with the provisions of JK CSRs.

It will be open to the University to consider names of suitable persons (who may not have
