I chose my topic with my two partners who are working with me on the project. After doing a
little bit of research, we decided that George Washington would be a good choice for the project
because he was the first president of the United States, and created many of the first ideas of
democracy. George Washington led the United States to independence, and without out him it
would be extremely likely that the United States would not be the same country that it is today.

I used the internet to conduct my research. I made sure that any site that I was getting
information from was a credible site. Once the information in the site was collected, I saved the
links to add them to the bibliography. Once the information was collected from the website me
and my partners decided what parts of the information should be used, and were that information
would fit into the website.

When me and my partners were thinking of a topic for leadership and legacy, we decided that
George Washington would be a good choice because of the many great things he did as
president, and how we were just learning about him in our history class. We worked on the
project by talking to each other over the internet in skype, and each of us did our part by splitting
the work into chunks and continuing to work on the project little by little.

The topic of choice is George Washington. This topic relates to the theme of leadership and
legacy because George Washington was the first president of the United States, and set a long

lists of precedents that many presidents follow and will continue to follow for many years to
come. He also led the continental army through an extremely tough winter at Valley Forge, and
without George Washington the United States would not be an independent country like it is
today.
