A Note from a Board Member:
I began working with Touch the Heart Youth Ministries in the planning stages of the very first rally. At that time we were only thinking of having a one-time event rather than an ongoing ministry, but God had bigger plans than we did. As our culture moves away from Christianity there is a growing need to share the good news of Jesus Christ with young people. I was blessed to be raised in a Christian home and to learn about Jesus from the time I was little, but fewer and fewer young people are being given that blessing as our culture shifts. Sharing the gospel is one important aspect of THYM. Another is strengthening and encouraging young people who have chosen to follow Jesus. My work schedule has hindered me from helping with the after school Bible studies, so my work with THYM has been working at rallies and other events as a volunteer/leader, planning and administration as a board member, and development of the quarry as a laborer. As with any ministry, we have had our share of setbacks and frustrations, but the Lord has shown his power and guidance through the challenges. Serving the Lord by ministering to young people through THYM has truly been a blessing for my own life.
donated for it was the
right thing to do and we did do all we could to walk with integrity and honesty with each of you. I know it was a disappointment to many of you and for us, for it to seemingly fall through. In 2014 a new President was voted in, we revisited the purpose of a prayer path and sought God on what He wanted. THYM is about the youth, but it is also about impacting the Kingdom of God and I know I have had wonderful moments in prayer at the Rock and would love to make that available for those that would want to enjoy it. We have been blessed with a beautiful piece of property and we want it used for His glory. Prayer is an essential part of that whether 12 or 112. I am pleased to announce we will be moving ahead with the prayer path. Foos' Funeral Home has agreed to donate several benches, Perry's Plantation will be helping with the landscape around the benches. Our hope is to have posts along the walk with scriptures and of course a nice level path to walk on. We hope each of you will come out to enjoy the Prayer Walk this Spring.
We may never know the full
extent of the lives that God We hope you will join us has touched through THYM, throughout the year to but we are able to see volunteer during our enough to feel confident that events or just come to God is using THYM to show your support to the change lives.
