and International Economic Relations:
Old Concerns or Fresh Hopes?

Background

The rise of the multinational enterprises from emerging markets has been a major development during the last decade. In the other side, the local SMEs are seen as the driving
engine of the national economies. Multinational enterprises cultivate different relationships with their home country and the countries where they are doing business.Today, as
a consequence of the global financial crisis and in the other hand, the economic growth of
many developing countries, reigns ambiguity about the future of the world economy.

The global economy is shifting in ways that offers new opportunities and challenges
for firms from emerging economies. Will the increasing number of enterpreneurs in emerging countries along with the global business reduce the absolute poverty in the near future?
What is the impact of national political startegies of countries in the global business? Can
political disputes become obstacle towards the extension of the economic relations between
countries? Multinational enterprises in the globalization process are pursuing various strategies for exports, FDI, and portfolio investment directed to emerging markets. How it will be
their approach and effects towards the emerging market in the future?
