DRIVE is a major project within MG Rover. It's objective is to significantly improve our competitiveness.
The purpose of a 'DRIVE' bulletin is to advise changes introduced as a result of the MG Rover 'DRIVE'
initiative.

Detail:
Speed transducer, part number YBE100520
(arrowed in illustration) has been deleted on all
derivatives except 2.0 diesel. The speed signal is
now taken from the ABS ECU.
NOTE: The transducer drive gear remains in the
transmission and the redundant drive spindle
covered with a yellow dust seal part number
TRVOOO060.
An instrument pack re-calibration was required as
a result of this change, therefore modified
instrument packs with new part numbers have
been fitted from the same change point.

Detail:
The fuel burning heater has been deleted as standard fit
on all diesel vehicles. It is now offered as a line fit or
aftermarket option.
To simplify fitment of fuel burning heater if required, the
original cooling hoses and fuel lines have been maintained
and built with bypass hoses and end caps to enable easy
conversion.

The body colour side finishers and lower body colour
number plate finisher originally fitted to all MG ZT and
ZT-T vehicles has been replaced by chrome finishers as
standard fit (as per Rover 75 and 75 Tourer).
Body colour finishers can be requested as a line fit
option when placing the vehicle order.
