PREPARACIN INICIAL
Colocar el tablero en el centro de la mesa
Colocar los cubos de vas y las Participaciones de cada Compaa en su espacio de suministro y
tesorera situado en la parte inferior del tablero. (ATENCION: Para 3 jugadores debe retirarse una
compaa ferroviaria al azar y devolver a la caja todos sus cubos de va y participaciones)
Colocar 1 cubo de cada Compaa en el espacio 0 del track de Ingresos impreso en el tablero
Colocar los 12 marcadores de desarrollo en su rea de suministro impresa en el tablero
Colocar la locomotora negra en el espacio correspondiente a 1851 del track de ao
Cada jugador coge una carta-resumen y el marcador de acciones del mismo color
Se elige quin ser el banquero y ste reparte a cada jugador la siguiente cantidad de dinero:
$50 en partidas con 3 o 4 jugadores
$40 en partidas con 5 jugadores

PASO PREVIO AL INICIO DE LA PARTIDA: RONDA DE SUBASTA INICIAL


Antes de comenzar la partida debe subastarse una Participacin de cada Compaa.
El banquero selecciona una Participacin de una Compaa cualquiera y la saca a subasta. l mismo
deber ser el primero en pujar o pasar. La puja mnima inicial es de $10. Siguiendo en sentido horario,
cada jugador debe ofrecer una puja superior o pasar. Un jugador que haya pasado no puede pujar
posteriormente en la misma subasta. La subasta contina hasta que todos los jugadores menos uno
hayan pasado.
A continuacin, el ganador de la subasta debe:
Coger la Participacin subastada y colocarla a la vista en su zona de juego
Pagar la cantidad ofrecida y colocarla en la Tesorera de la Compaa
Coger un cubo de va del suministro de dicha Compaa y colocarlo en una ciudad no ocupada
del tablero
Mover el marcador de Ingresos de la Compaa hasta el nmero correspondiente al del Valor de
Ingresos Completo impreso en la ciudad inicial elegida
Colocar su marcador de accin en el primer espacio disponible en el track de Orden de Turno (si

Si ningn jugador puja por una Participacin, sta se retira de la partida de forma permanente. El

La ronda de subasta inicial contina de esta manera hasta que una (y slo una) Participacin de cada
Compaa ha sido sacada a subasta. Si hay una o varias Participaciones por las que ningn jugador ha

pujado (y por tanto se han retirado) la partida comenzar con un menor nmero de Participaciones
disponibles para los jugadores y menos de seis Compaas Ferroviarias presentes en el mapa al inicio.
Si uno o ms jugadores no tienen ninguna Participacin al terminar la ronda de subasta inicial, en
sentido horario y empezando desde el banquero, colocan sus marcadores de orden de turno en el
primer espacio disponible del track de Orden de Turno.

SECUENCIA DE JUEGO
Una partida se compone de un mximo de 7 rondas, cada una de las cuales consiste en 3 fases de
Accin y una ltima fase Dividendos.

FASES DE ACCION Y ORDEN DE TURNO


Al inicio de cada Ronda, el jugador cuyo marcador de orden de turno est en el primer lugar del track
de Orden de Turno, lo mueve a cualquier espacio libre de la primera columna del track de Acciones. A
continuacin puede elegir realizar o no la accin correspondiente. El siguiente jugador en el track de
Orden de Turno hace lo mismo, y as hasta que el ltimo jugador haya movido su marcador y realizado
o no una accin. Para la segunda y la tercera fases de accin, el orden de turno viene determinado por
la fase de accin precedente. El jugador que tenga su marcador ms arriba en el track de Acciones lo
mueve a cualquier espacio vaco de la siguiente columna y elige si realiza o no la accin
correspondiente. El siguiente jugador que est situado ms arriba hace lo mismo, y se sigue as hasta
que el ltimo jugador haya movido su marcador y realizado o no una accin.

FASE DE DIVIDENDOS
Despus de 3 fases de Accin, los jugadores reciben un dividendo por cada Participacin que posean.
El dividendo a pagar por cada Participacin es el resultado de dividir los ingresos actuales de la
Compaa (indicados en el track de Ingresos) entre el nmero de participaciones de la misma en
manos de los jugadores, redondeado al alza. Las Participaciones aun sin vender y las retiradas de la
partida no se tienen en cuenta. El Banco paga a los jugadores el dinero correspondiente.
Despus de que cada Compaa haya pagado sus dividendos la Ronda ha terminado y se comprueban
las condiciones de final de la partida. Si no se han cumplido, la partida contina. Se devuelven los
marcadores de orden de turno al track de Orden de Turno manteniendo su posicin. Se avanza el
marcador de ao al siguiente ao y da comienzo una nueva ronda.

FINAL DE LA PARTIDA
La partida termina cuando, despus de la fase de Dividendos, cualquiera de estas condiciones se ha
cumplido:

INGRESOS
Las compaas incrementan sus ingresos a medida que se conectan a ciudades. Cada ciudad tiene
impresos dos valores de ingresos:
El valor de la izquierda es el Valor de Ingresos Completo de la ciudad y se usa si slo una
Compaa se ha conectado a la ciudad.
El valor de la derecha es el Valor de Ingresos Compartido de la ciudad y se usa cuando dos o
ms Compaas se han conectado a la ciudad.
Cada vez que la va de una Compaa llega a una ciudad el marcador de Ingresos debe ajustarse de la

INGRESOS EXTRA POR CONEXIONES ESPECIALES


Hay tres conexiones especiales: Chicago con New York, Chicago con Atlanta, o New York con Atlanta.
Si las vas de una Compaa conectan Chicago con New York, Chicago con Atlanta, o New York con
Atlanta, inmediatamente se aaden $10 extra a los Ingresos de dicha Compaa (adems de los valores

NEGOCIACION
