MUNICIPAL RESOLUTION NO. 026-2014

REQUIRING INSTITUTIONS AND ESTABLISHMENTS IN THIS MUNICIPALITY TO RAISE THE
PHILIPPINE FLAG IN HALF-STAFF IN HONOR OF THE LATE HONORABLE COUNCILOR
RONALDO SANZ REALUYO ON THE DAY OF HIS INTERMENT.

WHEREAS,
this august body, the Local Government of Guinobatan and the rest of the
People of Guinobatan grieves and mourns with regrets for the death of Former Councilor Ronaldo
Sanz Realuyo last February 21, 2014 due to a lingering illness;
WHEREAS,
during his lifetime, Former Councilor Ronaldo Sanz Realuyo served as a
Municipal Councilor of this local government for nine (9) years or for three (3) consecutive terms,
from 1997 to 2008. He was able to pass a number of emphatic and noteworthy resolutions and
ordinances. But his services never ceased even after his last term but instead he continued the
same and was able to touch lives in his own way;
WHEREAS,
as a sign of mourning for his death, it is only but proper that the flag in
front of the municipal hall and such other institutions and establishments within the municipality, be
flown at half-staff, during the day of his interment, in accordance with Republic Act No. 8491,
otherwise known as the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines;
WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing premises, be it now:
RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved by the Sangguniang Bayan of Guinobatan, Albay in
session assembled, to require as it hereby requires institutions and establishments in this
municipality to raise the Philippine Flag in half-staff in honor of the late Honorable Councilor
Ronaldo Sanz Realuyo during the day of his interment.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this resolution be furnished such concerned
offices/agencies, for their information and guidance.
