Role & Responsibilities

Regularly interact with onsite team members to understand operational requirements, project requirement, operational
metrics and goals
Assist in managing daily, weekly, and monthly ETL processes/jobs
Ensure continuity of daily, weekly, and monthly ETL processes by providing support during any of the three shifts in IST. The
three shifts will cover 24 hours of the day. Timings of shifts are Shift 1 7AM to 4 PM, Shift 2 3PM to 12AM, and Shift 3 11PM
to 8 AM IST. Shift timings may change as per business requirements. The shift assignment will change periodically, as per
business requirements. On call support will also be required during weekends.
Assist in improving ETL processes by identifying root cause for failures/issues and implementing the solutions for these
issues
Enhance/Develop data extraction/transformation/load programs (using UNIX, SQL, Ab-Initio, Autosys) based upon business
requirements and technical specifications
Perform data conversion, quality and integrity checks for all programs/processes
Report progress status to team manager
There may be opportunity to travel onsite to the US for a duration of 6 months
Experience/Qualifications
Overall 2-5 years of IT industry experience, mainly in production support.
Min. 3 year experience in writing PL/SQL procedures and SQL queries on Oracle 10G
Min. 2 year experience with ETL tools Ab Initio
Min. 2 year experience in scheduling ETL jobs / scripts using Autosys R11
Min. 2 year experience in writing shell scripts on UNIX Sun Solaris
Good experience in understanding production support requirements and SLAs
Ability to perform data research and root cause analysis on data issues/discrepancies.
Good knowledge of DWH/BI concepts i.e. Facts, Dimensions, Star schema, Snowflake schema, data mart etc.
Good communication skills including verbal and writing skills
Experience in either the Pharmaceuticals Industry is preferred
