Los Angeles County Department of Social Services Leader Project
01/08 to 04/08
Migrated their home-grown “Single Sign on” process and user delegation product.
Taught the administrators to use ADMT (Active Directory Migration Tool) to perform
their migration from NT/NT to W2K3/XP.
Built a technology demonstration lab to present methodologies for their Lotus Notes
to Exchange migration.
Built a wireless network infrastructure that covered all areas of a golf course to
facilitate official scoring for the tournament in one week.
Installed and supported 50 computers for officials, the media, and the public.
Worked with a team of Systems Architects on a project that updated their security
and asset management systems.
Rewrote the Novel login scripts in VBScript for the new Windows environment.
Developed a methodology to stage the migration of data and users using group
membership in the login scripts.
Developed a process using USMT and VBScript to migrate their Novel workstation to
Windows.
Provided support to the Unisys team in China to migrate the workstations there.
Developed a process to migrate user data and configuration settings from the user’s
old laptop to their new laptop.
Led the migration of 250 laptops over 2 weekends.
Implemented Policy Maker Software Update patch management solution for all
managed workstations.
Designed and built a virtual model of the production environment using VMWARE
for testing purposes.
Imported the production active directories of the production forests into the lab
environment.
Led the team that redesigned the administration model. We developed the “Least
Permissive” security model.

windows servers.
Implemented the Windows 2000 design, overseeing the server builds in three data

Built a data center in the center of the US to connect up to every airport and port of
entry in the country.
Implemented IAS, ISA, Exchange 2000, and OWA among other functions.

Developed a proof of concept lab utilizing the migration tool and simulated a
Netware to Windows migration scenario.

Developed a proof of concept lab utilizing Citrix Metaframe XPE that would allow
complete centralized control and administration of a medium size agency.
