2014 Brings Even More Clean Diesel Vehicle Options to the U.S. Market
With 44 new clean diesel car, truck and SUV models available now or launching soon in the 2014 model year, automotive industry
experts predict that consumers will have more than 58 diesel vehicle models to choose from in North America by 2017. Add to that the
more than 27 other automotive brands supplying numerous diesel engines and over 115 different diesel models for the Medium- and
Heavy-Duty truck, bus and RV markets, and its no wonder that diesel vehicle market share forecasts for the U.S. are on the rise.
Numerous industry experts predict that diesel vehicles will make up to 10 to 15 percent of the U.S. market by the year 2025, up from
just over 3 percent in 2013. Looking globally, diesel models in Europe currently command over a 54 percent share of the vehicle
market. ExxonMobil predicts that diesel will surpass gasoline as the number one global transportation fuel by 2020. Diesel demand
will account for 70 percent of the growth in demand for all transportation fuels through the forecast period to 2040. And although
natural gas will play a greater role as a transportation fuel by 2040, it will remain only a small share of the global transportation fuel mix,
at 4 percent by 2040, up from todays 1 percent, according to ExxonMobils forecast.
Biodiesel + New Technology Diesel Engines = A Winning Combination

The dramatic growth in availability of new technology diesel engines and vehicles for the U.S. market is welcome news for consumers
and fleets that want the tremendous power, performance and fuel economy of a diesel engine, while minimizing their impact on the
environments they operate in. This is because any diesel vehicle can also operate on clean, renewable biodiesel blends Americas
Advanced Biofuel. Biodiesel is the first and only commercial-scale fuel produced across the U.S. to meet the EPAs definition as
an Advanced Biofuel - meaning the EPA has determined that it reduces greenhouse gas emissions by more than 50 percent when
compared with petroleum diesel.
Currently, all major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) selling diesel vehicles and equipment in the U.S. support the use of at
least B5 (5 percent biodiesel blended with 95 percent petroleum diesel) under warranty, and over 78 percent of manufacturers support
the use of B20 or higher biodiesel blends in at least some of their equipment, including nearly 90 percent of the medium- and heavyduty truck markets.

Medium and Heavy-Duty Trucks

ALLIED RECREATION GROUP
Allied Recreation Group is a collection of some of the worlds most recognized recreational vehicle brands - American Coach, Fleetwood, Holiday
Rambler and Monaco. Together, these companies manufacture a variety of

American Coach
American Coach manufactures the Revolution, Tradition, Eagle and Heritage

models which feature Navistars MaxxForce 10 and MaxxForce 13 diesel
engines, both of which are approved for B20.
CATERPILLAR
Caterpillar is the worlds largest manufacturer of medium-speed engines, as
well as one of the worlds largest manufacturers of high-speed diesel engines,
with ratings available from 10 to 21,760 horsepower. Caterpillar produces
engines and equipment for on- and off-road applications, mining and marine
