Dear sir,
With reference to earlier correspondence in connection with the grant of extension of time for the
subject work and this office letters :
1) No. RITES/AP/ICP/Agartala/2013/4002 dated 17/04/2013 shifting date of start to 30/08/2011 &
granting extension of time upto 06/01/2013 without levy of liquidated damages
2) No. RITES/AP/ICP/Agartala/2013/4031A dated 06/05/2013 granting extension of time upto
30/07/2013 reserving the right to levy liquidated damages
3) No. RITES/AP/ICP/Agartala/2013/4722 dated 02/12/2013 granting extension of time upto
14/03/2014 without levy of liquidated damages in accordance with provisions of Clause 2 of the
agreement dated 13/04/2011.
4) No. RITES/AP/ICP/Agartala/2013/6209 dated 07/05/2014 granting provisional extension of time
upto 14/08/2014 reserving the rights of MHA/LPAI/RITES to levy liquidated damages in
accordance with provisions of Clause 2 & 5.4 of the agreement dated 13/04/2011.
5) No. RITES/AP/ICP/Agartala/2014/6483 dated 14/08/2014 granting provisional extension of time
upto 15/11/2014 reserving the rights of MHA/LPAI/RITES to levy liquidated damages in
accordance with provisions of Clause 2 & 5.4 of the agreement dated 13/04/2011.
The date of completion of the above mentioned work is 27/06/2012 as stipulated in the agreement
dated 13.04.2011. Last extension of time is upto 14/03/2014 without levy liquidated damages in
accordance with provisions of Clause 2 of the agreement dated 13/04/2011 and further provisional
extension of time was granted upto 15/11/2014 reserving the rights of MHA/LPAI/RITES to levy
liquidated damages was also granted in accordance with provisions of Clause 5.4 of the agreement
dated 13/04/2011.
In the absence of any request for grant of further extension of time from your end and considering
the time required for completing defect rectification / cargo building / first floor of PTB, further

provisional extension of time for completion of the above mentioned work is now granted upto 31
December 2014 without prejudice to the right of LPAI / MHA / RITES to levy liquidated damages in
accordance with the provision of Clause 2 & 5.4 of the said agreement dated 13/04/2011. Decision
on levy of liquidated damages will be communicated to you in due course.
Notwithstanding the extension hereby granted, time is and shall continue to be the essence of the
said agreement
