Spirit is the two-channel product range from Thule Audio. By choosing any of the products
described below, you will take the first step into our world - a world of timeless designs and
near perfect sound rendition.

[ designed to last ]
All Spirit products have a matte black finish, set off by your choice of high quality, anodised
knobs and plates (choose between silver and gold colours), and they are built to last both
constructionally and electronically. They have 1 mm. plated steel cabinets and 8 mm extruded,
anodised front plates, which makes them very robust. On the technical side, the electronic
circuits of the Spirit range are surface mounted and, on the amplifiers, the volume is realized
with a digital potentiometer. With just one easy to use button on the front panel you can control
all main functions, but the products are all also fully remote controllable.

[ fully balanced signal path ]

What separates the Spirit B range from the Spirit range as a whole is the fact that the B amplifiers
are fully balanced. In conventional amplifier design the ground path is used both as a signal
reference and as a waste area for currents returning from the power supply a process that
generates a lot of electrical noise. That type of noise is completely eliminated in the balanced
amplifier design. Here the electrical sound signal appears as the difference between two identical
amplifier circuits, which means that the ground path is completely isolated from the signal path.
In a conventional amplifier, the configuration with one active amplifier path and one ground
path, causes the drive performance to deteriorate ( it has a lower damping factor ), due of the
higher impedance in the ground path.In a balanced amplifier, the two active amplifier circuits
per channel, allows for direct drive of both phases of the speaker.
Creating two matching signal paths ( high common mode rejection ) is difficult and makes great
demands on the precision of the electronical components involved in the process. For this reason,
fully balanced amplifiers are normally quite expensive to produce and VERY expensive in retail.
However, because of our innovative circuit design and technological expertise we are able to
produce balanced amplifiers at extremely competitive prices: it is not accidental that Thule Audio's
products are voted best in their price range time and time again.

IA60B

and IA150B: These are the integrated amplifiers of the Spirit B product range. They have a

high power two-channel output of 2 x 60W and 2 x 150W, respectively. With its fully balanced
design, the IA60B has an unparalleled musicality and sound quality for its price range or any
price range for that matter. The same goes for the IA150B, though it is very much more powerful
than the IA60B.
PR150B

and PA150B: The pre- and power combination of the PR150B and the PA150B is the high-

end combination in the two channel Spirit B product range. With this combination you get the
same excellent performance as with the IA150B as well as the flexibility that all pre- and power
amplifier combinations offer. With this combination of amplifiers you will witness the true
power of fully balanced amplification. You can also combine PA150B with one of our other
balanced amplifiers in a bi-amp setup for even more power.
