LME SELECT
The LME publishes a wealth of pre and post trade futures and options
data for its contracts copper, primary aluminium, zinc, lead, nickel, tin,
aluminium alloy, NASAAC and LMEX. All metal prices are in US Dollars
per metric tonne and index prices are quoted at $10 per index point.
What we publish
FUTURES PRICES FROM THE RING
MEMBER-CONTRIBUTED PRICES
VIA THE INTER-OFFICE TELEPHONE
MARKET
Indicative futures and options pre-trade
prices are contributed by all ring dealing
members and the majority of associate
broker clearing members 24 hours a day:
All prices are published in bid/ask pairs
and include the member name.
Metal futures prices are published for the
three month outright contracts, nearby
and far forward spreads and averages
to 15, 27 and 63 months forward.
Options volatility values for metal
contracts including call and put premiums
and delta values going forward six months.
Index future prices are quoted forward
12 months.
Option volatility values are quoted six
months forward (three months for the
index contract).
WAREHOUSE STOCKS
The daily warehouse stock figures are
published at 09.00 London time each
morning. Stock movements are reflective of
the physical supply / demand state of the
market. The stock report includes:
Daily opening and previous day closing
stock totals.
Daily movement in and out of warehouses
and net change.
Stocks totals per warehouse location and
per metal grade (where relevant).
Closing stocks by on warrant and
cancelled warrant.
Accessing data
Over 50 distributors worldwide deliver LME
data to customers using a wide range of
technologies, including fixed leased line,
internet, satellite connection and mobile
communications. The LME data can be
accessed in real time, 30-minute delayed,
end of day or snap shot and can be
delivered as a raw data feed or to a
configured terminal or PC. Your receiving
device can be a host server, a terminal, your
own PC or laptop, a pager or any other
mobile receiving device. Distributors add
value to the LME data by providing a range
of services that include analytics packages,
graphing tools, news and historical data.
