Position and Responsibilities: As an engineer, coordinated with client and site at different project stages; Involved in Conceptual
Design Development, Planning of the Project, Peer Review; Producing General arrangement drawings (GADs) for Bridges and
Tunnels ,Design Basis Reports and technical& Site Appreciation Reports for tendering processes. Trained in Linz, Austria for the
NATM Design of tunnels including the various processes of construction involved as well as Detailed Design of tunnels considering
all the technical aspects in mind.
Projects:Sivok (West Bengal) Rangpo (Sikkim) New Single line BG Railway Line Project: The First Rail Project in Sikkim Ever comprising 14 Tunnels and 17 Bridges overall stretching over 45Kms
Coordinated with Designers of different nationalities and experience to learn a lot about the functioning of the project.
Prepared the Pre-Final Design of the two tunnels involved in our scope (T-9 and T-10 of total length of 6 Kms) including
Portal drawings with arrangement of Rock Bolts, wire mesh etc., rescue arrangement, reinforcement drawings complying
IS Codes, Geo-technical drawings of L-sections of the tunnels, Drainage and Firefighting Concept arrangement and
Excavation Sequence Drawings
Decided the location of Portals of Emergency adits after studying the Contours of the total plan thoroughly and making the
site visit before finalizing the alignment of exit tunnels
Preparation of GAD of the Bridges after deciding the spans of the bridges on the basis of Site conditions which includes
water flow under the proposed bridge, rock type, Ground profile, Road bridges etc.
FTII Tunnel Project (Tendering Stage), Pune: The Project was a feasibility study of a proposed tunnel of length 500m between FTII Land connecting two campuses of FTII
Prepared the Technical and Site appreciation Report for the project after visiting the site and studying the site conditions
Also involved in the pre-bid meeting and the pre-bid tender processes of the project
Other Works: DOHA Green Line Metro Project Envisages the detailed design of Cross Passages of different types of the tunnel with
special emphasis on reinforcement placement and calculation of the passages
Mecca Metro Project , Saudi Arabia Design of reinforcement drawings of a typical segment of the tunnel lining placed
using TBM
