Introduction
Motor cycle is a new business in developing rural area like Dumki and Lebukhali. This
become popular among the unemployed people. For this reason, motor cycle has becom
mean in transportation especially in Dumki and Lebukhali. This business has been starte
2003. The faulty and bad road construction, the scarcity of comfortable vehicles made the
this business. The vehicles like bus, tempo is not available most of the times. Now a day
very busy and time is tiny. So they are not willing to wait for a bus or tempo. Though a bus
are available they found over loaded. On the other hand, the passenger of those vehicles h
huge vibration which is boring and not save. So people choose motorcycle to reach thei
safely, timely and soundly.
The objective of the study is to assess the socio economic condition of the
driver by taking their interview.
To calculate profit and income of the motorcycle drivers in Dumki and Lebuk
To determine their challenges in market.
To find out their problems and probable solution.
To collect the data we checked various journals, books, magazines and a lot of repo
by various organizations. We also visit a few websites regarding this subject matter
main source of data.

From the above chart, we know that,89.47%drivers are in 20-30 by age. 10.53% are in
31-40by age.
42.10% drivers are unmarried and 57.90% are married.
26.31% drivers family member are 2-5. Remaining 73.69% have 6-10 family members.
89.48% drivers education is bellow S.S.C. 5.26% are passed in S.S.C. 5.26% are passed
in H.S.C.
100% motor drivers use mobile phone.
To acquire condition of motor cycle business we along with our group went to them. We run our
survey among 19 motor cycle drivers with care. We know their daily income, their daily cost and
their daily profit. To run the survey we guess about their economic condition.

From the above list it is seen that 57.90 % drivers have their own motorcycles and
42.10% of themare hired. About 78.94% of them earn above 500 and 21.06% are
below 500. It is also seen that the daily rent of a motorcycle Tk. 200. Everyone gain
profit above or around 100 Tk. And about 21.05% of the drivers gain profit above Tk.
200 and rest 89.95% gain under 200 Tk.
From the observation it is seen that their earning amount is well on the what it is not
sufficient to survive their family well.
Problems:
No business can run without problems. So the motorcycle businessman also face some
problems. The problems which faced by the motorcycle businessman are-
Road problem: According to all motorcycle businessman road problem is the major
problem of their business. Dumki to Lebukhali road is too bad to drive the motorcycle.
Both driver and passenger suffer for it. Moreover, many parts of their motorcycle
become damage. So their average income becomes decrease.
Increasing oil rate: In our present economic situation oil rate is not remain still. In the
international oil market the rate of oil is increasing. As a result the cost of motorcycle
business increase, if the rent is increasing his passenger will decrease.
Accident problem:Due to the road, accident is a common matter in Dumki. Some driver
does not maintain traffic rule, it also helps to occur an accident. Sometimes the driver
and passenger get serious injuries.
Police problem: Sometimes the motorcycle driver face police problem. Some driver
have license and some driver havent. Sometimes the police disturb the license holder.
Natural calamity: In bad weather they cant drive motorcycle. In that time they remain
unemployed. Specially in rainy seasons they have faced danger to go outside with
motorcycle.
