We are currently looking to fill the following position for our office in Tapanuli
Utara (TapUt):

SLP Field Forestry Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Provide capacity building support at district level, including facilitating


stakeholder meetings and training to accelerate FMU development - activities
will include: (i) update mapping; (ii) analyze forest land uses; and (iii) prepare
FMU management plans for each district.

Engage with the District Governments in North Tapanuli on designated areas,


and benefits to be realized from establishing FMU structures, in terms of
integrated land management and revenue flows.

Ensure that monthly, bi-annual and annual reports are submitted on time for
review

Consider innovative ways of capturing and communicating key program


successes and achievements.

Partnership with local community, NGOs and private sectors to get their
inputs to Conservation SEA document.

Promote experience-based learning processes and policy feedback


loops/mechanisms with the SLP field programs and partner government,
private sector, and civil society organizations

Qualifications:

Has degree in forestry, biology, ecology and natural resource managementrelated science

Experience in developing conservation management with a minimum 5 years


of experience

Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural situations with a wide range of


people in both the public and private sectors, including business,
government, non-governmental organizations, donor organizations, local
communities, consultants and volunteers;

Knowledge and background in the customs and government organizations of


Indonesia

Willingness to travel and work long hours, including work in arduous field
conditions, often to remote areas and work weekends and after hours as
needed

Proven record of success as part of interdisciplinary project teams

Good communication skills and develop network

Fluent in English (Speaking, Reading and Writing)

Computer literate; humorist, hardworking, easygoing.

Preferred:

Have a good scientific knowledge of conservation and sustainable natural


resources management.

Key qualifications:

Minimum a Bachelor degree (S 1) from any field

Understand the dynamics of donors, bi/multilateral, corporation and


individual.

Able to develop concept note and proposal

Minimum three (3) years experience in grant making, and


management, from national or international organization.

Having knowledge about development issues

Good analytical thinking, independent, creative, innovative and selfmotivated;

Good personal relations quality and able to work independently as well as in a


team work.

Fluent in English both oral and written

Good writing skill in English and Bahasa Indonesia

Willing to travel in or outside country

Main Responsibility:

Develop, plan, manage and execute fund raising strategy to achieve the
organizations goal as detailed in 2013 2017 Strategic planning.

Maintain and update clients database

Work effectively to meet the annual finance target

Develop concept note and proposal for fund raising

Manage relationship with donors, sponsors and Kehatis partners in the field

Represent Kehati in any donors event or activities

Promote Kehati program to targeted donors or sponsors

Regularly report kehatis fund raising achievement and progress.

Provide accountability reports to donors or sponsors whenever needed

Involve in coordination meetings as needed.

Working closely with program and other departement within Kehati.

Position Summary

The UAP Field Staff roles are facilitating families and organizing women groups to
have gardening program and to increase families nutrition intake. The role will be
carried out through nutritious awareness and agriculture trainings, distributes IECleaflet and organize meetings at community and Posyandu level.

The objectives of UAP Project are to increase availability of nutritious food for
families and to increase intake of vegetables and fish for families. The role involves
a high degree of good communication skills to organize women groups, provide
agriculture trainings and established good communication with government
agencies. UAP project field staff is responsible to providing regular report to Project
Manager and suggesting creative and innovative approaches to make the program
effectively mobilize communitys resources and to ensure its sustainability.

Qualifications Required

Appreciative, honest, trustworthy and has high integrity; be self-motivated to


use innovation and creativity.

Have good communication and interpersonal skills in order to maintain an


acceptable working relationship with formal and informal villages leader

Ability to establish and maintain working relations in a multi-cultural


environment with sensitivity and respect for cultural diversity .

Bachelor degree (S1) in Agriculture, Agronomist or able to demonstrate his or


her understanding in agriculture. The capability to provide participatory
training is an advantage

Ability to work under pressure at times while maintaining high quality results
and team player in community mobilizing process.

Job Descriptions
The UAP Field Staff will responsible to undertake agriculture trainings, focus group
discussion on agriculture, community meetings and to organize women group for
agriculture program. She or he will encourage support from community leaders and
Posyandu and drafting village policy as needed.

The CO is required to undertake the following tasks:

1.
Design monthly planning and implementing UAP based on the detailed
implementation plan (DIP)

2.
Provide trainings, organize meeting and assisting community women groups
during planting vegetables and aquaphonic.
3.
To establish village facilitator team and assisting the team in women
agriculture learning process.
4.
Proposing ways of improvement of methodology, strategy and technical
matter that adjusted to local context and resources.
5.

Preparing monthly reports as required to Project Manager.
