Site Conditions
For the purpose of tendering, Tenderer may request for available geotechnical
information for the areas near the Site. Tenderer is to obtain information
through its own direct investigation rather than depend on secondary
information or source. The interpretation of any existing information shall be
the sole responsibility of the Tenderer.
The Tenderer shall visit the existing Sejingkat & Astana substation sites and
satisfy himself with regards to the site conditions, prior to submitting his
tender, as no claims will later be entertained on grounds of ignorance due to
the nature of work involved.

A. Astana 132kV Substation Establishment

Since Astana 132kV Substation Establishment site is an abandoned existing
Substation site, the Contractor demolish all of the obstructions including the
existing Buildings, all switchyard equipment foundations and all
infrastructures. The existing concrete piles found on site to be left intact. The
E.R. must be informed of the existing piles found on site affecting the
execution of the works. The Contractor should take into account the time
taken for the E.R. to issue instructions (if needed) into their work programme if
the Works are affected by the existing concrete piles.
B. Sejingkat 132kV Substation Extension
The Sejingkat 132kV Site is an extension works of the existing switchyard. Due
to this nature of the Works, the Contractor should include the costing of
interfacing, coordination and where necessary, integration with existing
installed and commissioned systems, facilities, utilities and associated
infrastructure. All of the existing infrastructures and facilities within the
existing sub-station boundary affected by the Works to be make good by the
Contractor under his/her own expenses.
Survey & Setting-Out
The Contractor shall be solely responsible for all necessary boundary peg
survey, setting-out, establishment of recovery pegs, additional reference pegs
where necessary and leveling on site; and shall employ experienced and
qualified surveyors and/or planners acceptable to the Engineer for this

The cost of shifting of the existing utilities (i.e. Street lightings,
water main, SESCO cables etc) or plants which interrupt the
proposed construction works shall be borne by the tenderer at their
own expense and deemed to have been included in Tender Sum.
Tenderer shall obtain the permission from the relevant local
authorities in the case of shifting the existing utility services.
