PENS
Pen fences
Used to close the animal pens in the slaughterhouse.
Made of:
Structural columns that are bolted to the floor, spaced 2000 mm apart from each other.
Space between the fences to screw or bolt between the columns. Can be made of either metal sheets or bars. Made up
of different units, allowing a unit to be easily replaced if necessary. The pens are very versatile, as spaces can be made
larger or smaller by adding or removing different units.
The exact measurements and shape of the pen will depend on the type of animal being held.
- For pigs, fences are made of metal sheets.
- For sheep, metal sheets are used for smaller animals, while vertical bars are used for larger animals.
- For calves, horizontal bars are used.
- For fences used to create pens for several different animals (pigs, sheep and cows), vertical bars or metal sheets are used
up to a certain height, then horizontal bars are used up to 1500 mm high.
The bars are made of galvanised steel or AISI-304 stainless steel.

OPERATION:
- Tie the hind legs to the support chain.
- Put the chain behind the post and attach it to one
of the notches.
- Attach the chains to the skin that has already been
removed from the legs (either the front legs if the
skin will be removed from top to bottom, or the back
legs if the skin will be removed the other way round).
- Roll up the chains and move the cart (downwards if
the skin will be removed from top to bottom, or upwards
legs if the skin will be removed the other way round).
- When the skin has been removed from the animal,
unroll the chains to release it.

LM131
OPERATION:
When the button on the control panel is pressed, the hooks move and attach themselves to the animals legs. At the same
time, the head moves forwards and backwards.
Once the hide has been pulled the button should be pressed again, which will move the head back and release the animals
legs.
V.2
27
LM132
OPERATION:
- When the hide-pulling roller lowers, it
pulls and rolls the animal skin, and once it
reaches the limit switch the swinging arm
is automatically activated.
- The arm places itself on the lower back
of the animal, which means the electrodes
are automatically electrified, and this is
transferred to the carcass.
- The animal is electrified, which means
that the vertebrae do not break when the
skin is pulled.
- When the hide-puller roller reaches the end,
the electrodes automatically stop receiving
electricity and return to their initial position.

AERIAL RAIL
Aerial rail support structure
All of the aerial rails (bleeding, slaughtering, chambers, passageways, etc.) are supported by a framework, hung between
spacers.
Depending on the quantity and type of animal to be hung on the rails, the number of kilos/metre can be calculated to work
out the correct framework for the structure, then the type of rails can be decided.
Made up of:
Tubular columns with plates to anchor them to the floor.
IPN profile rails, joined to the columns with grippers and joined to each other with connecting plates.
Supports for curved pieces.
Screws to attach the different parts together. This type of construction aboids the need for welding, which can often cause
problems with rust between the joined parts.
Made of back steel with a hot-dip galvanised finish.

AERIAL RAIL
Pneumatic inserter
Attached to the aerial lines, used to add hooks one by one to the aerial chain.
Made up of:
1 stretch of mobile rail with a pneumatic piston.
1 pneumatic valve to operate it.
2 track ends.
Guide rail with a nylon bushings.
Made of galvanised steel.
2 types of aerial rail can be installed: dual rails, tubular 1 rails and tubular 2 rails.
REF.
LM072
OPERATION:
When the area chain starts, the pusher gives a signal to
one of the two track ends.
The track end, in turn, starts up the pneumatic cylinder,
which raises the mobile rail up to the inserter. This way the
hook attaches to the chain and the pusher starts to push it.
After finishing one run of the chain, the pusher gives a
signal to the other track end.
The track end starts up the pneumatic cylinder, which
moves the rail back to its original position.
This cycle repeats itself indefinitely until the aerial chain
stops.

Pneumatic pump
The pneumatic pump transports semi-solid material, solving the problem of internally moving small quantities around the
slaughterhouse. The pump is made of stainless steel, which allows it to be set up in any area within the slaughterhouse
without any risk of contamination, as it can be washed like the other equipment.
Can be used to transfer waste outside the slaughterhouse: manure, digestive juices, hair, etc.
Pneumatic pumps can only be installed in slaughterhouses with compressed air, as they need compressed air in order to
function properly.
The pneumatic pump should be placed in an appropriate area so that it can be loaded with minimal effort by operators.
It is easy to use and does not require any specific training. Simply place the material to be transported in the pump and fire
it once it is full; this can be controlled manually or automatically.
A tube should be set up next to the pump, normally made of stainless steel, although it can be made of other materials if
they are able to resist certain levels of pressure and do not pose a contamination risk. The tube should lead to the place
where the waste will be removed.
Each pneumatic pump works by transferring the semi-solid material through a closed conduit using the difference in pressure
at either end. Once the semi-solid material is in the pump: On one side is the closed board that covers the pump, and on the
other side is the end of the tube, which leads to a chosen end point, and which is open. When the compressed air is entered
between the semi-solid material and the pump lid, this causes a difference in air pressure between the aforementioned
chambers and, due to the difference in pressure, the semi-solid material moves to the end of the tube, as this is where it is
forced by the air pressure.
Cleaning this machine is very easy, as you just need to fire hot water through the pump at the end of the day, which should
leave the inside completely clean.
