------ recognizes the need of employees to accommodate their personal needs and
therefore requirement to take time off of the work occasionally. However, as far as
possible leaves must be planned well in advanced so as to avoid any possible loss to the
business.
Rules and procedures to avail:
Privilege Leave
Casual Leave
Sick Leave
Maternity Leave
Paternity Leave
Every employee is expected to take his vacation during each year of employment.
Privilege Leave can be accumulated to a maximum of 45 days only. The excess, if
not utilized by the Employee will lapse automatically, on the 31 st of December of
each calendar year (1st January to 31st December). For the purpose of accumulation,
15 days can be accumulated in one calendar year up to 3 years and the balance should
either be utilized or will be deemed to have lapsed automatically.
At a stretch an employee can avail max 3 weeks of PL at one point of time, including
Saturday/Sundays/Public Holidays.
At the time of final settlement, privilege leave is encashed on the basis of the
employees basic salary only with the maximum of 45 days. This is subject to income
tax deduction at source.
Applications for privilege leave must be made at least 15 days in advance on HR
ONLINE to the department head and forwarded to the H.R. department.
All supervisors must encourage their staff to go on applicable leaves and ensure the
policy is followed.
An employee of -------cannot work for another employer during privilege leave. Any
violation of this clause can result in ------- terminating the employees services
without notice and depriving him / her of the remuneration in respect of the period of
leave.
CASUAL LEAVE :
All Employees confirmed/on probation in the service of the company are eligible for
casual leave.
An employee, who has completed a period of 40 days continuous employment can
avail casual leave.
A maximum of Nine (9) days of casual leave is granted in a calendar year to all
employees.
Casual leave is provided on a pro-rata basis from the date of joining.
Casual leave cannot be carried forward or encashed.
Employees who proceed on causal leave are required to apply in advance. However,
in genuine case of emergency or under strictly unavoidable circumstances, when it is
not possible to obtain prior permission, the employee may proceed on casual leave,
but shall inform the Management as soon as possible of his/her absence from work
and expected duration of such absence. In such cases the prescribed leave application
on HR ONLINE must be submitted on the day of resuming duty.
Casual leave for more than two consecutive working days at a time will not be
granted.
A holiday or Sunday cannot be used to take more than 2 consecutive CLs.
SICK LEAVE :
All Employees in the service of the company are eligible for sick leave with full pay
on medical grounds.
A maximum of 12 days sick leave will be granted to employees in one Calendar year.
Sick leave can be carried forward to the following year up to a maximum of 24
(twenty-four) days only, the excess, if any shall lapse automatically.
Sick leave cannot be encashed.
Weekly off and holidays can either be prefixed or suffixed to sick leave.
Sick leave can be attached to privilege leave.
Sick Leave cannot be attached to casual leave.
An employee who has been away from work on medical grounds should submit an
application for leave to his department.
An employee who has remained away from work for more than 3 days shall be
required to produce a medical certificate to that effect from a registered medical
practitioner on resumption of duty after availing sick leave and must submit a leave
application on resumption of duty.
Misuse of Sick leave will result in cancellation of sick leave for the whole year.
MATERNITY LEAVE :
Maternity Leave is a statutory leave.
Women Employees are eligible to avail maternity leave.
The Employee should have completed 6 months of service with the company to
be eligible to avail maternity leave.
Maternity leave can be availed only twice during the service of the Employee.

HOLIDAYS
Entitlement
1.
The 3 national compulsory holidays will be observed, i.e. 26th January (Republic
Day), 15th August (Independence Day) and 2nd October (Mahatma Gandhis
Birthday). However certain processes due to business reasons may not be able to
abide by this.
2.
Holidays will be decided in the beginning of each year, keeping in mind local
customs and practices followed.
