DESCRIPTION:
1. Boarding students may decide to pay food contributions in order to get this service from the
college cafeteria or depending on his or her own meals.
2. The money for medical deposit will be refunded to the student after completion of his or her
studies ONLY if it will be known that the money was not used by the student. If the amount
that will be used is less than the amount paid, then the remainder will be refunded to the
student.
3. Health services contribution, School T-shirts, student identity card, student government,
books, examination fees, curriculum development fees, and caution money , MUST be paid
in whole before the student starts the academic year.
4. Tuition fees and accommodation may be paid by installments or the entire amount at once.
Accommodation fees may be paid on semester basis which is 150,000 per semester, and
tuition fees may also be paid on semester basis which is 350,000 per semester. Each year has
two semesters.
5. School fees must be paid in the college account number 017 000 00 364, Tanzania Postal
Bank, Meru Arusha Branch. Account name is Arusha Journalism Training College. Student
must submit the bank pay in slip during registration. Other payments like medical deposit,
hostel, food, school T-shirts, books, examination fees, identity card, extra, may be paid in
cash during registration.
6. Students must come with:
a)Their own stationeries(10 exercise books, 8 flat files, and one diary)
b) Student uniform: dark blue suit with white shirt
c) One mobile phone that has a camera with USB cable and a tape recorder
d) Two ream papers to be submitted during registration
e) For hostel students, they need to come with a mattress and bed sheets
7. Media practical attachment for students (field work), may involve some cost depending on the
type of media where the student is appointed to. This will be communicated to the students
sponsors when time due.
