Position: Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Project Level, 10+ yrs. Experience)

Our multidisciplinary engineering firm seeks a skilled and experienced Geotechnical Engineer (Project
Level) to join our thriving geotechnical unit within our main office in St. Lucia.
The ideal and successful Geotechnical Engineer will be involved with technical and management aspects of
geotechnical engineering projects. The work will consist of analyzing, designing and effectively
communicating geotechnical issues on engineering and construction projects.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field
Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred
Minimum of 10 years of geotechnical design and construction experience
Experience with geotechnical software
Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to analyze problems and develop alternative and effective strategies to solve them
Past experience relating to geo-environmental engineering projects involving land movements, slope failure
and environmental remediation is an asset
Geotechnical Engineers duties and responsibilities:
Accountable for production of technically sound designs, assessments and documents to clients

Perform technical review from a geotechnical perspective on project deliverables

Perform moderate to high complexity geotechnical analysis on a wide variety of situations
Design and/ or conduct geotechnical investigations, analysis and design with little oversight
Effectively communicate geotechnical issues as part of interdisciplinary teams
Maintain flexibility with assigned tasks to meet changing deadlines, deliverables and priorities
Demonstrate initiative on new assignments
Assist with developing potential opportunities within existing contracts
Assist in preparing written proposal elements (such as project descriptions, methodology, etc.)
Take ownership of assignments, communicate status and ensure completion
