meet the requirement of one of the following:

The Cultural test for film

One of the UKs co-production agreements
The European Convention on Cinematographic Co-Production

The Cultural Test:

This is as test which is marked out of 35 marks and the project will need to
achieve 18 points, the marks are given for various things such as if the film is set
in the UK or EEA, the lead characters are British or EEA citizens, the film is based
on British or EEA subject matter, it is produced by someone British, the actors
are mostly British, if the money used to produce it comes from Britain. Basically
gaining points is through the pure fact of what and who is British or done in
England itself.
There are two key criterias for a production to qualify as a British film, firstly
70% of a films budget must be spent in Britain and 70% of the money allocated
to labour must go either European or Commonwealth citizens.
