To All My Dear Friends at ESUMC:


I am overwhelmed and so appreciative of all your get
well cards with encouraging words of support and
cheer. Your thoughtful gifts of food, flowers, prayers,
visits, phone calls and emails have been a blessing to
both Denny and I. I hope to see you all soon.

Hiking with Bob Rosenberger TODAY
Today, weather permitting. All hikers meet Bob in the
parking lot at 12:45 p.m. Please dress warm, bring water
and snacks.
S.W.A.T.
The SWAT Team will be meeting this Monday, January 26 th at
9:00 a.m. in the church conference room.
Holy Land Photos (Presentation) TODAY
Norm Fox will be presenting photos/slides of his visit in
2014 of the Holy Land in the youth room at 9:45 a.m. This
is a wonderful opportunity to see and hear from Norm about
his experience.
OKs Monthly Meeting
Weather permitting the OKs are scheduled to meet on
February 11th at 11:30 a.m. for pizza and a movie. There
will be no snow date. For more information contact Erma
Powell at 570-421-1422.

Members of the ESUMC family who are no longer able to
attend services are always happy to hear from you! Cards
and notes of encouragement may be sent to Warren

Stephen Ministry
My purpose is that they may be encouraged in
heart and united in love, so that they may have
the full riches of complete understanding.

God has called each one of us to be an instrument of His
encouragement! Do you know someone who is going
through a really difficult time? Stephen Ministers are
available to listen, pray, and offer Christian support and

Health Care Equipment
Walkers, crutches, canes, adult potty chairs, shower seats,
raised toilet seats, depends, wheelchairs and more are

Coming Soon : Environmentally Friendly Name Tags!
Permanent name tags which can be worn around the neck
will soon be ordered for all church members and those who
regularly attend ESUMC. Please fill out the sheet in your
pew, PRINTING your name as you would like it to appear on
your name tag. (You only need to do this one Sunday).
Wearing name tags on a regular basis will help us all get to
know each other better, increasing our sense of unity as a
church family and our Christian love and concern for each
other!

OPPORTUNITIES
Youth Ministry News
2015 Confirmation Class begins today.
If you are interested in being part of the Confirmation Class,
there will be a meeting held tonight 6:00 6:30 pm in
the Sanctuary. Information will be distributed on the
classes, the schedule, and the mentor process. Youth AND
Parents are encouraged to attend the first meeting.
Confirmation Class is open to anyone in grades 8 th 12th
who would like to become a member of ESUMC. The
classes will run from January through June 2015. If you have

Annual Youth Ministry Summer Trip Information
Meeting and Parent/Youth game night Tonight. The
schedule will be:
6:00 6:30 pm: Confirmation Meeting (in the main
sanctuary)
6:30 7:30 pm: Summer Trip Information Meeting (in the
youth room). We will be going over summer trip dates,
information, and handing out all necessary paperwork.
7:30 8:30 pm: Parent and youth game night (in the youth
room).
Our next Mission Weekend is Friday Jan. 30th (3:00pm)
Sunday February 1st (3:00pm). We are joining up again with
the Philadelphia Project for a Philly Blitz Mission
Weekend. You can sign up now, by sending an email to
Scott Kuhnle. Total cost of the trip is $65.

Sr. High Bible Study meets every Monday Night from


6:30 p.m. 8:30 p.m.
This is a bible study for Sr. High students (9th-12th grade) who
are looking to get deeper into their faith, and grow stronger as a
disciple of Christ. We will have girls and guys combined bible
study for three weeks, followed by girls and guys separate
discussions on the fourth week of every month.

JAM Jr. High Afterschool Program meets every


Thursday from 2:45 5:00pm. Information and
Permission Forms are available on the church website
(www.esumc.net) and in the youth room.
Each week following the JAM program is a free
Fellowship Meal for all students (from 5-6pm), followed by
Jr. High Boys and Jr. High Girls Bible Studies (from 67:30pm).
Sports Ministry meets on Sundays 5:30 6:30pm:
Join with other boys and girls for a time of sports and
recreation. Games that will be played include dodgeball,
basketball, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, and kickball. Open
to all 6th 12th grade students.
Youth Praise Band will be meeting to practice this
Sunday, from 5:30 6:30pm in the youth room.
Youth Worship meets every Sunday evening. Youth
will be gathering to fellowship, worship, and participate in
biblical teachings from 7:00 8:30pm every Sunday night.
