Intercede with Us for the Muslim World!

I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so
that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me (Ac 26:18).
Thus Jesus called and sent Saul/Pauland He continues to send people today. Let's pray for still more to go to Muslims
near and farand ask that the Lord will open doors for each of us to share this message with those in darkness.

Today's Prayer Requests: From Students, Alumni, and Missionaries

LIBERIA: As in many West African nations, Islam is growing in Liberia and poses a challenge to the churches. An
alumnus who serves in AG church leadership here writes, They are marrying our daughters and using money as a bid
to buy our people over. We must pray for divine intervention, and pray for the church to be able to improve on her
humanitarian and social work, including the building of Christian schools in Moslem-dominated areas. Please pray
especially for Christian young ladies who are tempted to marry Muslim men, sometimes for lack of a good Christian
prospect. Pray that they may realize the dangers and cling to Jesus, finding their fulfillment in Him.
THE GAMBIA: Pray for the establishment in the coming year of a discipleship training center here to prepare more
workers for this Muslim-majority nation. Pray for favor in the community, for the teachers, and for those whom God is
preparing to come and be trained for His service.

In the News
Pray for peace in the time surrounding Nigeria's presidential and other elections, slated for Saturday, February 14.
Incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan, from the Christian south, is running against Muslim candidate Muhammadu
Buhari. The militant group Boko Haram has already vowed to disrupt the elections. This past Sunday they launched
attacks in their headquarters city, Maiduguri; on Monday, just after President Jonathan left an election rally in Gombe,
a suicide bomber blew up a car near the venue. Pray that God will thwart destructive plans, and for protection as
people go to the polls. Pray especially for opportunities for believers to reach out to those who seek God's peace.

From Global Initiative*

Pray for churches in Holland, France, and Germany to provide a strong witness of Christ to Muslim immigrants.
France counts 5 to 6 such immigrants, the highest number in Western Europe, followed by Germany (3 to 3.5 million).
Holland hosts nearly 1 million. Pray that the Lord will open the eyes of His people to this growing population, place a
burden in their hearts to reach out to them, and guide them in doing so.

For Muslim Women**

Please pray for Imis, a Muslim girl in a restricted country, who has started reading the Bible. Pray that she will have
revelations of Truth and divine understanding.
