Catholics Support Action Against Human Trafficking
Australias Bishops & Religious have joined the global call of Pope Francis to mark
8th February, the Feast of St Josephine Bakhita, as the world day of prayer,
reflection and action against human trafficking. St Josephine was kidnapped and sold
into slavery. She became the first person from Sudan to be canonised.
Synod on the Family: To access a copy of the Synod document and the questions
please leave your contact details in the Gathering Space. Lets take this opportunity
to participate in the decision-making of our Church. Responses to be forwarded to
Bishop Paul Bird by Thursday, 12th February, to bishop@ballarat.catholic.org.au
Royal Commission: The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child
Sexual Abuse will hold a Public Hearing in Ballarat in May. A copy of Bishop Paul
Birds letter to parishioners is available this weekend. (Gathering Space).

Good News: Next weekend (10.30am Mass) we welcome Kate Foster who
commences her formal journey with us in the Catholic Church. Kate will be baptised
at the Easter Vigil.
