New Barrett students were invited to experience a one-day introduction Phoenix’s urban core.
Students visited the Central Arizona Services Shelter, the Phoenix Urban Research Lab, the City
Manager’s Office, and took a Light Rail tour with Urban Planners. Students learned from city
officials and community leaders about what makes urban environments and Phoenix unique.
|BARRETT TASTE OF COPPER SQUARE|
Students and their families enjoyed free food from various hot spots like Carly’s
Bistro, Conspire, and ZPizza on a shuttle tour of Downtown Phoenix.
Just blocks away from the ballpark, Barrett Downtown students spent a
night enjoying America’s favorite pastime—baseball. Students walked
down to Chase Field to watch the Arizona Diamondbacks PLAY BALL!
|BARRETT NIGHT AT THE SYMPHONY|
The Phoenix Symphony put on a fantastic show for our Barrett students, highlighting pieces
from Beethoven’s 9th.
|BARRETT TEAM RACES FOR THE CURE|
Every year, the Susan G. Komen Foundation organizes Race for the Cure in downtown
Phoenix to help raise funds and generate awareness about breast cancer. This year,
Downtown Barrett students & staff teamed up to participate and help support the
