In addition to our teacher training courses
such as the Cambridge CELTA, Certificate IV in
TESOL, J-Shine and the English for Teaching
Younger Learners course, we also offer General
English, English for Academic Purposes and
IELTS Preparation, as well as the Cambridge First

We offer all the support you need both before
your course starts and throughout your entire
stay. We can help with your accommodation

based on campus at the National University of
Ireland, Galway. Classrooms are spacious and

Summer programme for older teens (16-19)
- Pre-University Experience: this 25-lesson
per week residential programme helps students
prepare for studying at university level with
focus on academic reading, writing, listening and
speaking.
Customised programmes for individuals
and small groups: we offer highly personalised
programmes in English for specific purposes
such as business, law, academic study or banking.
We also design customised short stay cultural,

Students on summer courses stay in apartments

MALTA - IH Malta-Gozo
THE CITY
Situated in the heart of the Mediterranean,
Malta and Gozo offer first class English learning
in a mild climate with warm sunny days all year
round.

IH Malta, is located in a residential area which

is a stones throw away from the buzzing city
centre of Paceville, St.Julians. We also organise
a residential Young Learners (10-16yrs)
Programme at Paradise Bay, in the north of Malta,
from mid-June to mid-August for individuals
and groups. In Gozo, our operatation runs all
year round offering courses to adults (average
age 30) in their accommodation, catering to the
discerning traveler.

THE COURSES
Our adult school in St Julians, Malta welcomes
adults of 18+ and offers group courses
(maximum of 8) and individual tuition all year
round. Malta offers a blend of language learning
together with opportunities for cultural and
social events. Our Young Learners residential
programme Paradise Bay, Malta, JuniorsKOOL
10-13yrs and TeensKOOL 14-16yrs includes
accommodation, general English lessons (20 per
week) and a full week leisure activity programme
(2 activities per day). The students have 24 hour
supervision and are not allowed to leave the
residence unaccompanied. IH Gozo, specialises
in customised courses for specific purposes,
offering individual tuition or closed mini groups.

The school offers accommodation in 3 to 5 star
hotels, homestays, school residence, school
apartments or guest houses. Customised group
packages for Young Learners and adults in Malta
and Gozo are available on request. A full week
leisure programme is offered at IH St.Julians,

NEW ZEALAND - IH Auckland
THE SCHOOL
IH Auckland - AUT is one of New Zealands
leading English language teaching organisations.
It is the English language school for international
students at Auckland University of Technology
and is located in the central city campus in a
modern building, close to shops, cafes, cinemas
and other facilities. The school occupies two
floors and has a self-study centre, a computer lab
and a University student lounge. Our students
receive the AUT University student identity card
on arrival, giving access to University facilities

THE COURSES
We offer full-time (23 hours) and part-time (17
hours) study at all levels of General English as
well as full-time IELTS examination preparation
courses and an academic pathway programme
to AUT University.
The school also offers
CELTA teacher training, TESOL training and
international examinations courses. It is open 50
weeks of the year. Classes are small and focus on
developing and enhancing students speaking,
listening, reading and writing skills. Individual
tuition and group study programmes are also

IH Auckland - AUT offers AUT University
residential accommodation as well as homestay accommodation with NZ families managed
through our own home-stay database.
We have weekly activities for students
throughout the year such as conversation
classes, games, tournaments and outdoor visits
to places of local interest. The school works with a
local tour operator for weekend sightseeing trips
out of Auckland.

IH Cape Town is conveniently located on the main

road of beautiful Sea Point, directly opposite the
Sea Point swimming pools and the Atlantic
Ocean. It is a short drive away from the Victoria
and Alfred Waterfront, the city centre and the

treated as an individual. The atmosphere is
relaxed, reflecting the laid-back nature of the city

THE SCHOOL
IH Johannesburg is located in the central area
of Johannesburg, Braamfontein, right next to
the iconic Nelson Mandela Bridge. The areas
eclectic boutiques give Braamfontein a trendy

The school offers a wide range of courses the
General English 15 (meaning 15 hours a week of
General English), General English 25, Academic
English 25 and Business English 25 which all
include the GE 15 in the morning. We also offer
a combination of 15 hours General English plus
private 1:1 in a course of your choice. Finally,
we offer preparation classes for all Cambridge
examinations as well as SATS, IELTS and TOEIC,
as well as the CELTA and DELTA teacher training
programmes.

The school offers a wide variety of
accommodation within walking distance of the
school. We have serviced apartments, hotels,
and non-serviced apartments. We offer an
extracurricular activities program and reception
staff are very willing to share all of their local
knowledge with the students, whether it be for
business or pleasure.

UK - IH Aberdeen
THE CITY
Aberdeen, on the north-east coast, is a great
place to explore the real Scotland! Known as
the Oil & Gas Capital of Europe and famed for
its sparkling granite architecture, visitors often
remark how safe and clean the city is. It is a short
trip to the Grampian Highlands and some of the
most spectacular scenery in Scotland. You can
follow the worlds only Malt Whisky Trail, visiting
distilleries and sampling their produce and a
world famous Castle Trail, with historic, romantic
castles, including Balmoral, where the Queen
and her family spend their holidays. Aberdeen
is a great base for all outdoor sports, such as golf,
cycling and tennis, as well as mountain-biking,
kite-surfing on our fabulous beaches and hill
walking.
Aberdeen is easily reached by air via London
Heathrow, Paris CDG, Amsterdam and Frankfurt,
all just a short flight (90 minutes approximately)
away.

Cordoba, with its 350,000 inhabitants, is situated
in the heart of Andalusia, within the beautiful
natural environment of the Guadalquivir river
valley. Its location in the southernmost region of
Spain means that it enjoys a warm and sunny
climate for most of the year. Cordoba is on the
World Heritage List and the Festival de los Patios
de Cordoba is on the UNESCO Intangible Heritage
List. The city is famous for its outdoor festivals
and monuments and the friendly, outgoing

Founded in 1953, IH Cordoba Academia
Hispanica was the very first International House
school. The building is a traditional two-floor
Andalusian house, with a central courtyard
decorated with plants and flowers, which the
classrooms look onto. It is located in the centre
of the city. As well as 22 light, fully-equipped
classrooms, there is a library, self access centre,
video room and multimedia room. Students have
free access to internet. All our teachers are native
speakers, have a university degree, are trained

The island of Mallorca is the most popular

beautiful natural bay, the islands capital Palma
is a bustling city with a population of just over
300,000. There is a lively arts scene in the city

International House Palma occupies a bright,
modern, spacious building in the centre of Palma,
just off the prestigious Passeig Mallorca avenue.
The 16 classrooms are spread over three floors
and there is air-conditioning throughout. The

and there are several bars, restaurants and

An activity programme for students is arranged
by the school but Santander also has an intense
cultural life. Over the course of the year there

THE CITY
Tarragona is a pleasant coastal resort (pop.
115,000) approximately 100km south of
Barcelona. It is situated on the Costa Dorada and
is an ideal location for a summer programme for
teenagers. The town is lively, but not too big; it has
its own sandy beaches within walking distance of
the school; it is very close to Port Aventura - one
of Europes largest theme parks and it is only an
hour from Barcelona by bus or train.
