Okay class I have a problem solving here that

you need to solve by using a similar fraction
1. Louela and Mary Anne were invited in a
party. Louela eats of the whole cake, and
also Mary Anne eats of the cake. How many
parts of the cake they have eaten in all?
Here the procedure class
Louela eats 1/4
Mary Anne eats 1/4
A fraction that have the same or a common
denominator. They are often called like a
FRACTION.
Now, we will use shaded and not shaded
blocks to represent the parts of the cake that
they have eaten in all. So, out of six parts of
the cake, Louela has eaten one half parts of it,
and Mary Anne has also eaten one half parts
of it. Thus, the shaded blocks represent the
total parts of the cake they have eaten in all.
Therefore; + = 2/4

But we need to lowest term

So, what is lowest term class?
Very good!

Lowest term- the numerator and denominator

of a fraction that have had all common
factors but 1 factored out and canceled.

So that! 2/4 2/2=

In adding similar fraction, simply add the

numerators and copy the denominators of
each fraction, reduce it to the lowest term if
necessary.
2 is the numerators
4 is the denominators

2. Rhea and Ricky were attended a debut party. Rhea eats 3/4 of the whole pakwan,
and Ricky eats twice as much Annabel has eaten. How many parts of the pakwan they
have eaten in all?
