following posts under the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University):1.

CONTROLLER OF EXAMINATION 1 Post (UR)


Scale of Pay: PB-4 (`37,400 67,000/- with Grade Pay of `10,000/-)
Educational Qualification & Experience
Essential: A post graduate degree from a recognized university with atleast
55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale.
Experience: At least 15 years experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of
Rs.7000 and above or with 8 years of service in the AGP of Rs.8000 and above
including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational
administration OR Comparable experience in research establishment and/or
other institutions of higher education OR 15 years of experience in examination
work of which 8 years as Dy. Registrar or an equivalent post.
Desirable: P.G. in Sanskrit and Adequate experience in the conduct of
University examinations or other comparable examination.
Deputation: The person holding the analogous post of Dy. Registrar or an
equivalent post with 15 years of experience in examination work of which 8 years
as Dy. Registrar or an equivalent post.
Age Limit for direct recruits: 55 Years
Method of Recruitment: On deputation failing which by direct recruitment on
contract basis. The appointment will be for a tenure of 5 years or till attaining the
age of 62 years whichever is earlier with a provision for re-appointment for a
similar period or as fixed by Govt. of India by orders issued in this regards from
time to time.

PROJECT OFFICER 1 Post (UR)


Scale of Pay: PB-4 (`15,600 39,100/- with Grade Pay of `8,000/-)
Essential Qualification & Experience

High Second Class Masters Degree in Sanskrit or Acharya.


A doctors degree or published work of high standard.
At least 8 years experience of working in an educational institution or in
Research Institute in a reasonable position.
Versatile scholarship of various subjects connected with Sanskrit as
evinced by published research articles etc.
Experience of dealing with manuscripts.

Desirable
i.

Knowledge of Manuscriptology i.e. the technique of preservation of


Manuscripts.
Knowledge of ancient scripts, nature of manuscripts and knowledge of their
find-spots.

General:
The Project Officer is expected to be a man of high learning and established merit
with deep knowledge of manuscripts. He should be able to mastermind the whole
operation of the manuscripts survey, to guide the programme and to coordinate the
various activities of its workers.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (SANKHYA YOGA) 1 Post (UR)


Scale of Pay: PB `37,400 `67,000/- with AGP `9,000/Qualifications:
Essential (i) Good academic with a Ph.D. Degree in Sanskrit in concerned
subject (ii) A Masters Degree in concerned subject with at least 55% marks (or an
equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) (iii) A
minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an
academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a
University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period
of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications
as books and or research/policy papers.
(iv) Contribution to educational
innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated
teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and
research students, (v) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic
Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS),
set out in UGC Regulations 2010 in Appendix III.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR 2 Posts (UR)

Scale of Pay: PB `15,600 `39,100/- with AGP `6,000/Qualifications:
Essential (i) Consistently good academic record with a post-graduate degree in
Ist or High IInd class (55% or above marks or its equivalent grade of B in 7 point
scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E, and F) in Acharya or M.A. (Skt.) or an
equivalent Oriental Degree from a recognized Examining Body in the concerned
subject. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications the candidate must have
cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar
test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. (iii) However, candidates who are or
have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants
Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree)
Regulations, 2009 are exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility
condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant
Professor.
Desirable: (i) Research Degree in concerned subject or published research
works of outstanding value, (ii) Knowledge of textual criticism and manuscriptology
(iii) Ability of guiding research students (iv) Knowledge of Hindi and/or English
(v) Knowledge of the principles of language teaching.
Method of Recruitment: Direct recruitment

Note:1.
The age/qualification/experience may be relaxed at the discretion of Competent
Authority on the recommendation of the Selection Committee, if candidate is otherwise
found suitable for the post.
2.
Sansthan reserves the right not to fill any of the above posts without assigning
any reason whatsoever. Sansthan also reserves the right to make a waiting list of
selected candidates who may be appointed as per requirement.
3.
The posts mentioned above are for constituent campuses under Rashtriya Sanskrit
Sansthan located at different parts of the country and are transferable.
4.
The prescribed proforma of Academic Performance Indicator may be downloaded
from Sansthans website www.sanskrit.nic.in. The candidate should submit duly filled in
API form alongwith application form otherwise the candidature will not be considered.
5.
The appointments made against these vacancies will be governed under New
Pension Scheme of Government of India.
6.
The candidate applying for more than one post should submit separate application
for each post.
